Thread regarding USAA layoffs

39% employee satisfaction! but …

Employee satisfaction 39%, yet what does Wayne do? He triple downs on his RTO stance with “it’s not changing, get use to it, or don’t.” What a way to really bring employee sentiment up!

I remember a 33% satisfaction number in our department a quarter ago. Amala tried to spin it hard, but none of us non-execs believed the spin.

39% is not a passing grade in any school or industry, unless your the Peacuck. Wayne would probably run a restaurant with a 39% health score and try to spin it as, "they don't get severe diarrhea that often", "cockroach legs add a delicate crunch to the salads" or "the stray dogs clean the plates better than our moldy dishwasher."

Something is severely wrong, yes. But the changes that would be needed to right the ship are above HR's pay grade. Fixing the problem requires decisive action by the Board - and the longer this continues, the more it seems like the Board itself is a big part of the problem.

Something is severely wrong whenever there are high employee turnovers. HR should start with making the changes in management.

Wayne is screaming into his pillow at night out of rage that everyone won’t adjust to RTO as fast as he’d like.

As a newbie, I have never worked at a company until now where there are so many employees who are depressed, miserable, or have mental break downs. People look so sad on the virtual meetings, which is very obvious. I had no idea the culture here was this messed up!! The smiles seem so fake. I am leaning towards updating my resume and get out of this insanity.

Those few people who started clapping after Wayne’s bold RTO statement were his Corp Comms groupies. Most in the room look really confused as to why someone would clap after the my way or the highway statement.

I hate to point out the obvious but they don’t care about employee satisfaction. They are trying to get people to quit - less layoffs for them. Take your bonus and start looking. I left a few months ago and am much happier.

Wayne does not care about the employees or the members. The culture is gone. The depression, anxiety, mental break downs and tears are every where. Wayne needs to go or wake up.

Let do remote just but guidelines in place, if you do xyz then you can't do remote. Cut the fat by renting out parts of the building to companies that actually need office space.

Stop punishing employees that can't keep members from leaving when their premiums go from 1600 for 6 months to 9600 for 6 months.

Stop making managers put as many employees on pips to reduce the hard working staffs bonuses.

Wayne wake up ! You are not as great as you tell yourself. Go get insight from General Roubless (forgot how to spell his name). USAA is ki-ling employees and they don't care.

Yes, during the Q&A portion of the meeting, a question was asked if there has been any talks on RTO and possibly going back to the 3 days. That’s when he said that exact quote. The audience was dead quiet for 2-3 seconds, then a few id--ts decided to clap.

If 39% is the new “A”, what happens if my performance and productivity drops to 40%? Does that mean I scored an A+?
