Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Walk away

If you oppose getting the vaccine then walk away. It's going to help both you (you won't have to do something you really don't want to do) and us (if enough people walk away then layoffs and firings might not be necessary for a while.) In my opinion, this is a winning situation for everybody.

Just found this site ... looks like common courtesy left the building and there’s lots of people who talk high and mighty about protecting each other yet don’t seem to have empathy or compassion unless their way is the way ...

I was in a leadership call about the vax, the SVP leading the call said it doesn’t matter what your opinion is, you need to lead according to our CEO. Essentially lie to people, unfortunately this isn’t the first time I’ve been directed to lie. If you think this company cares about its employees, you are wrong. They care about the bottom line, that it’s.

Listen you fools, Centene is not the only company in the world. Don't you see that they are wanting you to quit to avoid paying you? It's not about the vaccine! It's about control and knowing not all of us are 'gullable and afraid' to force the vaccine, if that's what you want to call it. There are other employers out there that do not force this and let you work remote. Are you afraid of going off and getting a real job somewhere that you want to fight with Centene's policies? Silly. Maybe you want to stay there because you lack skills to get another job? Think about why it is this bothers you!!!!

Don’t kid yourself. They aren’t going to pay severance anyway.

They want you to quit on your own so they definitely owe nothing. When it’s your decision, they’re better positioned.

If Centene mandates covid vaccine requirements, you are certainly free to move on. However, if they fire you because you violated company policy (not getting vaccinated), there would be no severance. So, hoping you on-line infectious disease specialists have saved a bundle to live on as many other companies will also be mandating the vaccines. And, there are very few people able to work full time, who are medically not able to take the vaccines. And, fewer religions that advocate you not getting the vaccine.

Nope. They can fire me.

@2sgt+1coiUOuO - sorry I forgot who I was dealing with. Let me break this down into simpler terms.

Germs like viruses are teeny tiny living things you need a strong microscope to see. They are alive, but in the way that plants are alive, without thoughts or feelings or intentions. They grow, and plants grow, but plants don’t get sad or mad or happy. Germs and plants are not like animals or people. Germs don’t try to make anyone sick; they don’t know what they’re doing. Thoughts and feelings come from the brain and germs don’t have a brain like we do.

Some germs are healthy, like the bacteria in yogurt. That type of bacteria is helpful to our bodies when we eat it. It helps our tummies digest our food better. But some types of bacteria are not healthy and they can make us sick.

A virus is a different type of germ that can make people sick.

The coronavirus is the name for a type of virus that is making some people sick right now. COVID-19 is the name of the sickness people get from the coronavirus.

The number of deaths are less because the riskiest populations (ex. elderly) have been vaccinated. The death argument only further supports vaccination. The alarming trend is that children went from 0 to 2.4% of hospitalizations after Delta and the trend is only getting worse. Get educated and get your vaccine.

@2mys+1coiUOuO I’m sorry but you’re wrong again. Can you show me any data or proof that the delta is “deadlier”?

@1liu+1coiUOuO - that’s exactly what I’m saying. It’s virus 101. A viruses chances of mutating increases as it spreads a.k.a Delta. A mutation makes the vaccine less effective requiring a new vaccine or booster.

This happens every flu season, it’s not new. Difference is that this strain, as it mutates, becomes more deadly.

I am thinking for myself, using facts from this reality. I have no idea what world you are basing your nonsense on, because it’s not this one.

If you quit, no unemployment. And in most states you pay into it. Don't quit. Let them make the move.

Nope, not walking away. They can either lay us off or fire us... but if it's the latter they will hopefully have to answer for that in court not too far in the future.

Don't quit. Let them make that move!

@bui+1coiUOuO Wait so you’re telling me that a 3rd shot being needed is because of the unvaccinated? My god, think for yourself turn off the television; it’s really getting to be you. Seek help.

@rui+1coiUOuO - 3rd shot necessary due to lack of vaccines. Don’t listen to me. Listen to the healthcare workers on ground zero.

———

America’s most battle-tested health workers, there is no denying their new reality: The patients they are moving heaven and earth to treat are the patients whose decisions are prolonging the pandemic.
“It’s extremely frustrating, the ignorance of people not getting the vaccine because they don’t believe in it, or they don’t think it’ll help them,” Ingle said. “You have the chance to get them. They’re free. And people still refuse.”

Happy to walk away. Not over the vaccine issue though. I have the vaccine already but honestly, if anyone really wanted to they could just get something that looks official to provide proof. How would the company know? They aren’t allowed to really ask or pry into the details, so it’s simply a matter of shady ethics for those that want to go down that path. Not me. But some will probably try.

How will it help those that walk away if every employer will start requiring vaccinations as a condition of employment?
