Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Centene is run by Private Equity not Sarah London!!

I'll try to be brief. Quentin Koffey, Politan Capital, his hand-picked board of directors, & his monied interests cabal is running Centene. look him up his company & the carnage he has inflicted

Sarah London is what the young generation call a "Nepo Baby" who has no corporate experience or skills that would make her qualified for many of the roles that a lot of you got fired from this year with more layoffs to come! Research her background -- its been buried but can be found with a little elbow grease. Her rapid assent is due to family connections and extended networks +/- she is probably someone important's love child!!

Drew Asher: a little man with a even smaller unit! He hates nurses and doctors, especially ones that care about people! He has left financial carnage wherever he as been -- look at Wellcare and the Centene PBM that he led before leapfrogging into this role -- he is very underqualified and a snake! also he only knows to cut head-count as a way to drive the bottom line -- any basic bookkeeper cold do that for millions less!!

Ken Fasola & Dave Thomas: incompetent buffoons -- no experience with a company this size especially government managed care! Anti nurses, anti doctors, anti people on Medicaid, anti DEI, anti black/brown/LGBTQI!! Com'on people, can you stand to hear either one of these id--ts speak for 5 minutes w/o laughing!!

Ashlee Knuckey! No experience in corporate compliance, reports to legal is a puppet of koster & do nothing -- never go to her department for a compliance issue -- they will cover it up!! and that's from members of her own team!!

chis Koster -- research his background when he was in politics! Also, credible gossip that he is/was sleeping around with other people on the executive team -- guess who??!!

Kim Henricksen, Alice Chen, tanya McNally and Erika Mcconduit -- diversity hires who are all only going to throw you overboard for their highly compensated do-nothing jobs that they are all woefully Under-qualified for!! You should run the other way when you see any of these people coming your way down the hall

In short if you still work for this company -- watch your back and start collecting evidence yesterday to hopefully either protect yourself and/or enhance your exit package when they do RIF you!! also, those of you who know of corporate maleficence -- please report it first to the authorities & then lawyer-up!!

There is much more pain to come unfortunately!

Rumor has it that Quentin has instructed Drew & London to keep cutting to the bone or the C-suite will not get their 7-figure bonuses!! There hope is that whats left will start to look attractive to an acquirer!

I hope you all knew that "shared services" "regionalization" was developed with the primary objective to cut staff. All the other reasons, like "efficiencies" were B.S.

The Architects: Drew Asher, Dave Thomas, Kim Henrichsen (the primary executioner) & Jim Murray (wasn't he just very old and awful; makes you wonder how he went from COO to fired in less than 6 months, HA-HA!!).

Even if you are in a regional position you are in severe jeopardy in 2024. London is too busy writing poems to know or care. They will overwork the skeleton crew remaining with no bonuses and will attempt to take away overtime from you hourlys! So if any of those Execs start talking, be very afraid and the ones not named are beholden to the program in order for them to keep their fat paychecks, stock awards & bonuses!!

Only hope is for a company to finally purchase what lefts of this sad organization and get rid of this feckless, evil-doer C-suite!!

Centene has been becoming slowly but surely a very unethical, incapable, unable to operate organization. Which is bad for everyone, from shareholders to employees. The so called "leadership" is a reflection of that, not being part of Centene under these management badge of honor. They are very mediocre and are not ready to be successful.

Quentin Koffey seems to me quite the id--t by putting 900mm in CNC with and inept CEo and CFO that is an id--t, I don't see the stock price going up with all the sh-t going on, riff people the way they will create a lot of problems

@2rhp+1qbgpI2J most of the cuts respected companies do are strategic in nature, in Centene used to be like that, this new management team, which is very incapable do the cuts in a very self harming way, not understanding the implications of what is being done, how is affecting the initiatives in place, the remaining workforce, it is very arbitrary and clumsy, it puts the company backwards in a path of destruction not of growth, so that is big part of the reason why the new management team are just a bunch white collars thief that are sinking the company, in 2024 all their lies will shatter.

In the new Centene they have riffed the best employees and have kept the cr-p, that is what is so frustrating about this place now, and what the list of high achievers that had been let go is huge, some of them were vital for the success of the company, that is big part of the reason this organization is a sinking ship, the CEO is a clown that should never be there , Michael was a business man, you were good and adding value you were a keeper, Sarah is just a petty bi--h, she had fired great people because doesn't like you in a weird way, not having a clue of what those people were doing.

I don't think most of the current, or perhaps newer employees understand that MFN did the same thing and ruthlessly cut employees every year (over a decade) I worked for this company. His last big show was cutting the 3000 in early 2021. This has never been a place to work where your job is safe. Most places if you work hard, do a good job, etc you are not laid off. That has never been the rule at Centene.

Sigh. It’s clear by all of these comments that the company does really need to do a lot more layoffs. Honestly, it’s ridiculous.

If you’re not happy make an effort to go elsewhere. Wishing on the broken star of MFN and hoping for the good old days isn’t going to help you. Just leave.

Take charge of your own life and move on.

You can complain about inexperienced being in power but it won’t change anything. Some of us are already laid off, overworked, been in same salary grade 10 plus years and still not at the salary to get a bonus. So 10 years experience without one promotion no bonus, at risk of being laid off and to care about Csuite? Look at your largest states with the most membership that are in decline and tell me how those executives managers and directors keep a job? Look at the org charts of those states..You say its sinking, well those executives definitely won’t speak up…they get a fat check plus bonus as it falls apart. These are the PL that call you in to lay you off.We hear you. Our hands are tied and we are tired.

All very true! Centene hires in executive jobs are just way out of wack, nothing makes sense. Sad is some great people that knew what they were doing are being let go.. They are becoming very bad at operating the business and it is starting to backfire.

Everyone knows Sarah is a puppet and the puppet master is the PE group, they are trying to squeeze the juice of the company but this organization is broken to the core, low morale , lack of transparency, lack of direction, nothing can save it.
