Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Here's what I know...so far

RB is taking over JCS's responsibilities on an interim basis. AL from ESI is out (unsure if fired or resigned) and KP from C2 in VT (2021 ITS acquisition) is taking on some/all of his workload, which will be a disaster. RB is saying there will be "minimal impact on XBS and ITS", but we all know that minimal does not equal zero, especially in Xerox speak.

Hearing that cores will cease to exist in their current form and will become part of ITS/XBS business units.

The "resign" button works just fine. I used it myself last year. It starts the paperwork process in HR.

Here's what I know- I resigned today and the resign button doesn't do anything I mean really it just sits there not even a depress ir an hourglass. This is like some sick joke so I called a lawyer who said you have to do the resigning via email hr can't refute it. I think they did this cr-p with the button so your manager gets a chance to fight it or you some more to sow you whose boss one mire time. Please for the love of God get the fu-k out of there eject!!!

@2myo+1qpGNlzl Absolutely! I'm a man of the people. God bless him. He's out lived 'Global' let alone the industry. Im happy and jealous!!! Couldn't agree with you more. I'm 100% jealous.

Here's what I know they already shopped production to a buyer hhhpp and ricohhh are the finalists. Fuuujjji is interested in ConnectKey controller only none of the cr-p that steeevie wants to offload. I think this is a done deal because part of the deal is to not absorb existing x staff thus the layoffs each quarter this year 15 percent per quarter gotta love those icahn goons still in the hen house....

Smells like a lot of scorned ex lovers of Xerox are on this site. Their jealousy reeks. They would do almost anything to be in the position that RB is in right now.

RadioShack Mgr couldn’t have said it better - RB as well as many other ex XBS leaders are great people.
Unfortunately they’ve all been put into roles and positions inside the new “XBS” that are well beyond their skill sets - most of them were managing small local businesses within a single or regional market. They’re now being asked to run multi state regions across 5-10+ legacy businesses while still dealing with desperate and non integrated systems. Some cores are re branded , others are not. They’re throwing $$ at the leaders to get them to stay but they’re overworked and burnt out. No sense of culture and no one trusts anyone, esp RB.
At the same time , the leaders within the reseller division are touting this as “great for the independent dealer “ and that X is just winding down all direct operations , that Xs future and direction is clearly through the reseller channel.
Interesting times for sure.

@2tdp+1qpGNlzl RB is an awesome guy. He gets it.

But is not capable of his current job let alone XBS. He makes a great local leader and would have been great to work for at global. But he is in way over his head when it comes to GTM and execution with this many 0's and bodies. He's a glorified VP or Sales and he loves selling. He was on the cut list himself until one fateful weekend someone got handsy and fired.

There are no cores left. It’s one organization and it’s run by RB. He’s going to do a good job. Understands XBS and willing to make the tough but necessary decisions.

What is happening to Production and guys like SH the Production President? Are they still with Xerox? If so who do they work for?

RB is so over his skis - I give it 12 months or less. He won’t be able to pull the wool over JB’s eyes like he did with JCS.
I wonder what he’s going to do with the Midwest? I feel sincerely sorry for whoever inherits that mess.

I can help translate , time to find a new job! Cutting the big dogs salaries will help save you for a little longer. Cores still need to make cuts , don’t let them fool you.

If anyone can decipher what half the buzzword in that email mean, you're a hero. It's just corporate words mixed together. I can't figure out what half the plan actually means.

JCS was terrible and nothing more than a figure head. At least RB is a sales person and can sell. XBS sales will be diluted to ITS driven reps - good luck selling IT Services. RB's core has the worst ITS #'s but strong hardware. If you're in sales - pack up.

Xerox has made it clear they want to be a service org (Lexmark, fuji, etc.) and stabilize service revenue. Diversify into ITS. And drive to business units within the dealer channel.
