Consumer Federation of America is a 52 yr old consumer watchdog group. They monitor many different industries and campaign for Consumer rights and protections. They are easy to look up, and certainly have better credentials and credibility than an anonymous internet whiner with an obvious agenda.

the only reason the marketing is decent right now is because the fat one at the top of marketing didn’t have enough time to get her fat fingers in it and screw it up
Geico is giving their policyholders and new policyholders a discount for 6 months. Their rates are lower than most and are on the verge of surpassing State Farm. So, who is this Consumer Federation group? I think getting a 6 month reduction in my premium is much better than two months.
Consumer Federation of America and Center for Economic Justice gives State Farm’s $2B dividend an “A” grade. GEICO gets a “D-“.
The only other “A” was American Family.
What about the homeowners policies. Wait. We can’t promote ourselves with that one. To public. They count too
A dividend is a joke. Had auto. It stunk. Their pricing and renewal systems stink and mess with people. Hope everyone enjoys their big “dividend”. SF automation really disrespects a lot of customers and potential customers. I’ll never go back
Policy holders don’t give a rip who gave what first. Most wont even know until their bill is due. Besides, when you don’t have many auto policies, it’s easy to add up a rebate and be “first” to announce it.
OK. I call balls and I call strikes. State Farm has made some real stupid policy decisions in the past that has often lead me to question their values. I stand by calling those blatantly stupid decisions. However, I must say the marketing department has made an about face by moving forward with the values that made SF the #1 insurer in the nation. The recent commercials during our health crisis are spot on. That is who I say I'm proud to have retired from. Stay with those values and you will always be the customers first choice and continue to solidify as an industry leader. Anything less is not acceptable at ALL levels.
@2lip.....Maybe you should actually read what the other companies are doing. Just as an example, this offer beats the c-ap out of the touted Allstate refund.
25% for 2 months of premium is nothing compared to the rest of the insurance companies.
The title should read - "Lets follow everyones lead and give everyone $10"."
Way to to Tippy - trying to manage the policy owner and you will get BURNED!!
They will receive the SF refund sooner than their promised unemployment check.
While it is a good move for some, I'm sure a person who really could use $150-$200 now is more than excited to have to wait 60 days to get a discount.
Actually Gieco is giving up 2.5 billion they are publically traded company we are a mutual. We should have gone 1st and we should have gone big. A big number maybe 7.5 billion a week ago. Cant buy advertising like that
just got my discount....THANKS STATE FARM
$2B blows away any other competitor!! Now you will have to move on and find something else to criticize. Pretty smart to be last One and show up the others!! Well done!! I’m no corporate troll.... I just see good moves when they appear. Haters.... quit!!!!!!!
OK. $2B dividend. So I’m waiting to hear how evil that is🙄
State Farm is not the leader!! Something to think about - if you are a SF policyholder today and sitting at home and not driving, and every else is giving discounts, what are you going to do?
Why be in a hurry to give money back? Do you really think $25 to maybe $50 is going to move the needle toward financial relief for any of these Clients? If they are screwed financially after 2 whole weeks of shutdown this is not going to reverse that. These will be the same people complaining when the rate goes back up $25 in June when they are back to driving 15000 miles a year.
State Farm already lost on this idea. Allstate and American Family won the news cycle and got all the free headlines and therefore free advertising. SF execs were too busy congratulating themselves on planning pajama day for employees to run a business.
LOL!!!
SF proves again it is NOT the leader. If it does do "something" for its policyholders, it will only be since they are following the lead of other insurers. Oh boy! There goes that MIP! What comes around goes around! Ha!
No need
Maybe the,7 worse CEOs are board members. I heard the union plans to,turn up the heat on board members next...
Sir, this is an employee layoff board
and yeah...SF, Progressive, and USAA are all going to "do something" for their policyholders.
Discount? Nope! Not this State Farm. SF has turned into a horrible company. Tipsord has no vision, extremely poor judgement, and no morals. I know he was ranked the 9th worse CEO in the country, but I find it hard to believe there are 8 people worse than him.
The employees have an EASY STREET.....
Trust the system. SF doing good by their employees and will do good by their policy holders. Employees should be extremely grateful regardless how stressful things can be.
