Be prepared! At this point I don't think anyone other than senior executives/leadership is safe.

I was told by my manager that it’s public knowledge that there will be a lay off in November in commercial. I have no idea how many or anything else. I have read on other posts that larger lay offs happen in November & February every year.
CSBD will be hit big this time around. Be prepared and be smart.
Anthem traditionally does layoffs prior to year end to make balance sheet look better and even larger bonuses for execs.
They have made some poor investments /purchases and poorer choices in executing initiatives, need to make up,the revenue, no one is safe at this point , except Gail and friends, and yes they are drawing up lists and looking at everyone under the guise of. AI coming , need Efficiency …
I do feel for all of the folks that have been there for years. The rest of the industry is laying off. No where to run
List of names are being submitted to leadership and they are looking at location, salary and your last performance review. Will be another sad day in November. Happy Holidays to all.
I’m curious as to what department as well can’t imagine they would come for all of GBD again :(
@2kgk+1oUEtt7G can you say what area or department you’re in or would you rather not?
Not true. I was pulled into a call to get my list of associates together for my leadership. November is on the table none negotiable.
I don’t think anyone knows for sure. Commenters are just speculating based on history. I was with the company for a total of 22 yrs. Got riffed after 20 years, came back for 2 more, then got riffed again on 9/21. From my experience, layoffs tend to happen in Feb and Nov. This one in Sept was unusual. I think it got people scared and expecting more in Nov because that’s a typical lay-off month.
Why so surprised? They have been training offshore for years to do our jobs. What jobs are left for onshore??
What types of positions are these? Are nurses and case managers affected?
Every week I get another email that “so and so” is no longer with the company, but it’s like we don’t talk about Bruno…
Many of my co-workers are seeking employment elsewhere. If many people resign maybe they won't have to do so many layoffs this round.
I am hearing Nov 30
History has shown November and February are RIF months. This September mass layoff was unusual.
And greedy.
Unless you were told by someone in the know, it's just guess. I would also not assume anyone from senior leadership is safe either.
What is the reason for this if stocks are high?
Not surprised...they are looking to do this by end of year. Looks like it is on point with previous threads on here where they said November was the next wave.
How do you know that?
