Uniti Group announces dark fiber sale to infrastructure provider

With UNIT selling off assets it looks like they are lightening their financial load and positioning themselves for a sale.

When does WIN begin doing the same?

This for uniti not windstream. They have no fiber assets, the only value is in the VoIP clec assets and some of the transport. All of the TDM and ATM pieces are a burden.

Here's a link to an Everstream 6/2021 press release about buying Uniti assets in the northeast:
https://everstream.net/press-releases/everstream-closes-purchase-of-fiber-network-assets-from-uniti/

"Everstream, the business-only fiber network, today announced that it has completed its purchase of assets from Uniti, extending Everstream’s fiber network into Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Northern Delaware along with acquiring existing Uniti customers. Two major metro markets — Philadelphia and Pittsburgh — are now connected to Everstream’s high-capacity network in other cities across its growing footprint."

Everstream is just another startup from the same people that built telecom/phone companies in the past, bought minor competitors and packaged them all to sell to the highest bidder. Wonder how long it will take to lure Win/Unit to the “cookie jar”?? You know at some point, they just cannot resist.

The way this release reads UNIT just got a larger investment. "Long-time customer", who else is a UNIT customer besides WIN??
