I think it’s poor management that’s the problem. I don’t care about your degree or experience. You all su-k. You have no value for people.
Way too much management at this company which is dragging us all down. I work with some good nice people but some of the managers I've heard speak I just want to reach over and slap. And I come from a management background but your paper work and degrees does not automatically make you a manager.
Verified news - Major layoffs to begin next month as Montana deal pushed out and no net new wins this quarter!
I agree with the last two posts. And anyone that thinks differently is an id--t.
Everyone and I mean everyone is here for the money.
Agree 100%
Do the minimum. Just skate by. You will probably be laid off anyway. And management doesn’t care about you.
I am here for money. Nothing else. Not to make friends. And if I’m not paid the highest I sure won’t perform the highest. Simple math.
Fu-k the management, PMO and architects. All make higher than me and still survive doing less than minimum reqd. When I try to do that they remind me of WFRs and possible layoffs.
Still bailing water. And doing it well. Just bailing it into the boat instead of out.
That’s a great analogy of how Gainwell and the so called good employees operate.
Are you able to stay positive working for GWT?
Not at all. It’s not possible for me any longer. The place is too much of a swamp any more.
Are you proud to work for GWT?
Not at all. I don’t like mentioning it to people that I know. I don’t like having it on my resume. I’m ashamed to work the company Gainwell has become.
Do you feel like you make a difference at GWT and in the lives of customers?
Not anymore. I can’t make a difference. I’m so restricted and forced to do bad processes. If I don’t I will be fired.
Do you feel that GWT is an honest company?
Not at all. I have witnessed too many lies and deceptions. I can’t even trust my boss. The ceo is a liar. Those town halls are a joke. A bunch of smoke and mirrors to fool the employees into thinking Gainwell is doing something good. When in reality they are getting ready to fire most of us in the US. They just want to hold onto us long enough to get their offshore thing going. Then bam we will be gone. No second thought. No care. It’s horrible.
Do you feel as an employee at GWT that you are treated well/fair/honestly?
Nope. I’m not paid as much as my coworkers that just started when I am more qualified and have more experience. I am lied to daily. I can trust no one. It’s an absolute horrible work environment. Hard on ones me two health. The juice is not worth the squeeze.
Do you feel GWT compensates you fairly?
Nope underpaid for the market. When I try to bring it up they won’t even entertain listening. Basically I am told that I’m lucky to have a job.
This place is pathetic.
I hear some of you saying that you stay positive and that you do a good job. I don’t believe you. You can’t do a good job for this company. You are doing bad work because their systems and processes are all bad. You are just performing bad processes well. That isn’t doing a good job. That’s bailing water from the ocean into the boat.
Interesting take Cody and others.

Truly interested in your thoughts.
I certainly wouldn’t want to be on a team with people with such negative attitudes. Seems like part of the problem to me
It's interesting the posts of people saying they don't feel good working for GWT or questioning how others may contribute to the company by doing a good job, but they are still in GWT contributing as well :D . I you don't like something just quit. I don't get the hate to your own company but at the same tome have fear to quit it.
I’m not sure how anyone can feel good about working at Gainwell.
I don’t feel good about working for Gainwell at all. Much less to think that if I do a good job that it actually contributes to an unethical company.
I think I’ll do as little as possible and watch this company continue to implode. There is no stopping it at this point.
Lotso
So do you feel good about yourself by helping a unethical company continue to operate?
I’d rather do a good job and feel better about myself, personally. I can’t change things beyond my control.
Yep they are moving as much as possible to India. All US employees are an expense that they don’t want to keep.
It’s simple math. Every month people get hired in India and people get laid off in the US.
There have been zero layoffs in India.
What a sh-t company.
I think Paul is right. Let’s drink some beer and play some video games. Let’s help them destroy Gainwell.
There is no reason to put effort into working for this company. Your job is going to India. Not if, when. Spend your time "working" doing something productive like drinking beer, playing videogames, or checking out postings on Indeed or LinkedIn. This company does not care about you.
At this point it doesn’t matter what they do. They have already hit the iceberg. The damage is done. The ship is going to sink. There is no stopping it.
I have to agree with the other poster here. This is the worst company I have ever worked for and will ever work for.
I am going to do whatever I can to stick it to them. I’m pretty much doing zero work. Go ahead lay me off.
Isn’t it about time for another CEO firing?
Sam there are very few good employees left. This terrible company has ran off most of the good ones. That’s what terrible companies do.
Now it’s a cesspool. It is destined to fail.
I would advise everyone to do as little as possible. This company does not care about you. Do as little as possible or leave. It is pointless to put any effort into this place.
Sure, and they're all seeking employment elsewhere because Shitwell is a joke.
He’s just one guy. Surely there are people you work with that you respect because they’re effective coworkers?
My "manager" is a buffoon that cries and throws a hissy fit any time he has to do his job. This place su-ks and deserves to go broke.
Gainwell is such a Sh-t Company.
They prove it to the employees all the time.
I’m not sure why any employee would waste their time on this survey.
Zero benefit to the employee.
There is a big restructuring underway with reduction in force as core objective. Getting into individual contributor role is a safe bet for now except for PMO folks. The new VP is planning to cut PMO group by ~30% as there are no new contracts.
They should have one that is truly anonymous, let people write a paragraph or three, and have AI extract the zeitgeist, like Amazon product reviews.
So if this survey is completely anonymous how is it that they know if I haven’t completed it?
Yeah it’s not anonymous.
Besides like you said it just checks a box. Nothing is done with the results.
So why take it?
This one did not have any freetext fields, correct?

Interesting insight on the employee survey. So much for management accountability.
As someone who was part of the team that administered the survey I can vouch for the fact that it is completely anonymous. With that being said if you are in a smaller department (10 and under) and everyone in your department blasts the organization clearly they will know you gave negative feedback if it shows your department was 100% compliant in answering. As far as what is done with the results, all of the results and comments are shared with ELT where they usually sit in a room and make excuses why the scores are so low and how it is everyone’s fault but their own. After 2 years of witnessing their reaction I realized they were requesting survey results simply to check a box and not because they wanted to actually change anything. The head of HR was the Executive sponsor for the employee action team to enable employees to focus on areas to improve based on the Voice of Gainwell survey and other attributes that would make Gainwell “A Great Place to Work” but shortly after that program was put in place and making traction the decision was made to eliminate the Organizational Transformation team that led that effort.
You can be brutally honest if you want in an attempt to get reality reflected in the scores. But you are probably better off avoiding that survey.
They will do nothing with the results. Nothing will change. Name one thing that changed because of last years. How about the year before that? Yep. Nothing.
And filling it out is not anonymous. So being brutally honest is a risk of layoff.
Your best bet is to not take this optional survey. It is not mandatory and filling it out puts you at risk. And the results go no where.
OR they just fire the negative respondents. That will raise the score.
What they are trying to do is get a 6 month "follow-up" survey to be able to say "See! We improved our scores!!!!" so that their "actions" "worked"
Highly recommend being brutally honest to drag down the scores.
I was on the employee action time or EAT until the two people leading the team where let go at the same time. I heard they are still trying to digest and report back to the leadership from last years survey which to me makes no sense why they would send out another 2024 survey if EAT team hasn't responded to the 2023 survey.
What does “confidential” even mean in this context?
The survey is confidential NOT anonymous.
I would avoid that survey.
Nothing will be done with the data. The leaders won’t listen.
It’s just an act to make the employee think that they matter. Reality is that the employee is of no value to those leaders.
The questions seem very we-ponized imo.
