Legal? They did this last year.
Talent assessments will take place in legal starting in August.
@2hgs+1blcTMtO haha, you're kidding, right?
Auto and property claims are safe
I heard that cafeteria services will be severely impacted
What areas? Haven’t heard anything in claims
They already know who is getting laid off. The test is for cya purposes.
Assessment......what a Joke! They already know who is going.....that test doesn't prove cr-p!
Oh no, imagine my shock
Again? Really? This is unprecedented! Haven’t we all had enough of this bs? How much money is this gonna cost ol’ Allstate /NatGen. What a bunch of losers. Here we go on our way to the finish just like Sears! This id--ts in Chicago are incredibly stupid. They don’t give a sh-t at all about customer service. How can they do this AGAIN! Since we now know from the treatment last year, how this all goes, at least we’re prepared. Thanks to this site for the information about upcoming ax cutting. We need new leadership at the top. That’s the only way customers will stay. These guys don’t have a clue how to grow a business. Their reputation is horrible.
The claims groups that will be focused on groups that were offered VTO and did not have enough takers and those that are part of larger groups that do not have direct impact on customers(processers and auditors)
Assessments to SIU and other claims areas as well in August. And they can't use the same assessment format in back to back years so expect new questions and new puzzles.
Verified some claims roles transferring to Pune so there are potential layoffs in claims although currently understaffed in some workgroups.
If chosen to take the assessment, it will Include:
Adaptive Personality Test “ADEPT-15” ~20 min to complete
non-exempt through band D: “motionChallenge” measures planning capability ~6 min to complete
Bands E-H: “Adaptive Reasoning” measures cognitive ability & high potential
Skills being assessed:
Change agility
Analytical mindset
Culture of customer experience
Holistic problem solving
Systems thinking (only band E and above)
You will have 5 days to complete the assessment.
4-6 weeks later you will know if you are impacted by RIF.
Everything is set to judge whether you as an individual line up with the “Transformative Growth” model and (specific to claims) how well you’re able to drive results. No time limit, but the assessment does need to be completed in one sitting. It cannot be broken up into separate times over the 5 days you have to start it.
The company still has no idea exactly how many employees will be laid off and the assessment is really key to finalizing the decisions. Don’t not take it and think you’re doing yourself a favor and guaranteeing a severance package. More to come.
For the person that down voted this post, what’s your reasoning for doing so.
Posters need to be encouraged to share information, so I don’t know what would motivate someone to do otherwise. If it’s because you don’t want to read about upcoming layoffs, you probably shouldn’t be visiting this site.
I had a similar meeting today where it was mentioned, but they said they were unsure when it would happen but likely before year end.
Thanks, OP. Would you know if August is the company wide target date, or is it just your department?
