Charlie and the Board running wild with no consequences

  • Asset Cap going on 6 years with no ETA
  • 2 System issues affecting customers this past month
  • Spending $30 Billion on a stock buyback before they’ve fixed Compliance and Oversight issues
  • Diversity stumbles
  • Costly Lawsuits and violations for activities under Charlie’s reign
  • With all this happening, the Board is still smug enough to recommend voting against every shareholder proposal

The Board is supposed to oversee Charlie, but that’s a joke because Charlie is on the Board. And then who is watching the Board?? No one, obviously.

We’ve got a bunch of frat boys running the bank and the cracks are showing.

Gosh - I don’t know how to respond to you. But “financial annalists” and “has done” are causes for concern. Wells Fargo needs to bring in a new crop of Yes-Men.

Most financial annalists agree that Charlie and the new management team has done a good job of turning Wells Fargo around. As previously mentioned, the issues at hand are complex and the employees and middle management of the previous regime either lack the competency and/or motivation to cooperate and fix things. THIS is the primary reason for continued and lingering issues.

Folks understand that we need to drastically cut our expenses and reduce complexity of operations.

This mean shrinking our home mortgage and to some degree our auto businesses. On the other hand historically we have done a poor job of marketing our credit cards to our deposit customers. Frankly we just haven’t had the right talent and technology in place to grow this very profitable business. We will get there.

If it wasn’t for Covid and now the inflation, things would be a lot better. How could you judge senior management on economic and global issues that they had no control over?

Management is doing more with less and the regulators are completely unreasonable and have their own political agendas.

WF lacks the risk management to run a financial institution with this level of complexity. Mike and Mandy couldn’t do it and Derek can’t do it. Breakup the bank and time clean house. C suite needs to retire or be fired.
