There are RIFs basically every month in this company (there's a reason the last Thursday of the month is known as RIF Day); it's just that most of them are small, isolated to specific departments/organizations, and therefore don't hit everyone's radar. For instance, there was a one in late 2022 that no one heard about because it was in one of the acquired companies; they laid off 50% of one department, along with a smattering of other departments. For that particular org, it was a huge RIF relative to their size, and it was the the third that year that I know of (in said org). They only hit this site when they impact the umbrella company.
I think it's fair to assume the bloodbath will continue through Q1 and then ongoing throughout the year. I especially anticipate reorgs in Digital after the rat joins.
