Do they even care who they hire anymore? Is it one big free-for-all these days?

Actually I know many servers who make $16/hr minimum wage plus tips. At a high end restaurant, that could easily be $80k working less hours than 50 per week in claims.
Please educate us on what restaurant serving job pays 80K. I can't wait for this response.
You can make more $$$ waiting tables that working claims for this company. U get what u pay for.
Incredible that this is what we have become. Our quality folks are leaving for better pay while we invest $60k training people who have no business in this field. You would think senior leaders would recognize that a quality employee will save you SO much money and more importantly, customer service.
I am a hiring manager, a free for all is exactly what it is! Not for a lack of trying! In this economy it's hard to find good quality people! Turn over is HIGH! We need staff with urgency! Our department is drowning so someone we wouldn't have even considered pre pandemic is getting a go today. Sad but it's the truth!
They are truly scraping the bottom of the barrel. They are now scouring the ghettos to hire the savages with no education. They already openly hire felons now.
That's called inclusive diversity
Judging by the quality of people we are getting, that seems like the only likely explanation.
