Yeah the but hole because that’s where they screw us everyday. There is momentum growing because of mismanagement and you’ll hear from all of us soon.

You guys really need to hire a better digital marketing team. Unions are relic of the past that will soon go away. In 1983 20% of the labor force was union. In 2018 it was 10%. GenX and millineals don’t camp out at a company and expect to be paid for usually showing up s—ing up oxygen for decades. They just move on to a greener pasture when the time comes. They don’t whine and stomp their feet and cry about seniority and bad management.

Could you show me on this doll where management hurt you?

Wow! What are they paying you guys to try and destroy the livelihood of hard working people? I get it, you need to steal from our mouths to keep the bonus trucks backing up to your houses but when is enough enough? How dare we ask for measly cost of living increases or access to affordable healthcare for our families. The profit margin is huge and there is more than enough to go around if you clowns actually knew how to manage with any competence. Enjoy it while it last because the next generations of true patriotic Americans are starting to wake up and a true middle class will re-emerge and fix this atrocity.

Lol. They got scabs and non union employees doing the work and laying off the folks with nothing to do. Great job union 👍. And it was only about union power not the $ in the middle of a pandemic. Not to mention several contracts lost in no small part due to union overhead making the bids uncompetitive. To those laid off I hear the Mississippi Coast is nice and the cost of living in Pascagoula low.

Sounds like you should get a job in management then. I was offered one. Declined. Can you imagine having to manage someone who thinks they’re being screwed over by management and wants to bring a Union in? Not worth it.

It’s also a shame that management compensation has sky rocketed and worker’s compensation has nose dived since corporate America started winning the war against unions. Just like economic cycles, there are labor cycles where the workers realize how badly they are being screwed by management and unionize.

This will probably come as a shock. But companies like Boeing do in fact purchase things from vendors that require non union employees of the vendor or there delegates to come in and setup/customize to Boeing’s needs. It’s a shame. I know. People earning a living without the Union taking a cut. But it does happen.

Nope. But unions are for underachievers. And they’re not even that good for those guys when the going gets tough. Just take the dues and run. Negotiate your pay as a group and protect useless employees. Go check the Boeing board and see how happy those guys are with the Union right now. Unions had a place 100 years ago. Worse than useless now. I used to work as a consultant for Boeing. EVERYONE hated getting assigned to that project. We had a fixed price bid to deliver and we also had a deadline. We really didn’t think that through. Working with the Union was impossible. those guys were there right on time and left right on time. I was told by one that he’d love to stay and help but it was against union policy to stick around and help. I’ve watched 5 people lose their home since March through no fault of their own. And these id–ts were offered a 3% raise but want to strike because BIW wants to bring in some temps to help make up for lost time... I hope they starve.

In the middle of a pandemic where millions are losing there jobs. They were offered a 3% pay raise annually for the next few years. BIW wanted to bring in some temp contractors (I imagine to do actual work since that’s not really up the unions alley) due to being several weeks behind. And these numbnuts go on strike because they don’t want non union folks helping out and feel like there is some sort of threat to their insane system of seniority(this is where you get preferential treatment for managing to stay alive). I hope every single one of the 87% that voted for that nonsense gets to join their former GAC brothers and sisters in the unemployment line trying to figure out how to get the most of it. Then we got the unions digital marketing firm that must consist of harlequin novel writer rejects spamming the board with the most sappy and transparent drivel I’ve ever read.

It is pathetic how reasonable a demand the union is asking for and the greedy management won’t budge. All they want to do is ensure that workers hired are union employees and not contractors. All the GAC trolls on here always say that a union won’t save your job so I don’t get why it’s a big deal. Unions are about safety and integrity and not letting the corporate machine destroy the worker’s livelihood. Why are these greedy corporations so scared of not being able to screw over the little guy at every opportunity. Gulfstream workers need to realize a union is the only logical path forward.
