Was this just a unfortunate oversight or a deliberate decision? What are your thoughts on Mattel publicly celebrating Canada Day but not the Fourth of July?

Bingo. They laid off the head of the team and replaced with a non-creative.
At least Mattel is still posting on their Social. Fisher-Price hasn't posted anything in almost 2 months. Did the person in charge of that get laid off or something? This is supposed to be their big 90 year anniversary celebration but looks like they've just completely abandoned their efforts. Sad.
You are free to leave Mattel and you are free to leave this country. As a matter of fact why don't you?
@2bqc+15PTKpJL I think you hit the nail on the head. The United States is just a truly awful country. Just like Mattel, none of us chose to be born in such a horrible sh!th0le country. And also just like Mattel, just because I'm American, doesn't mean I have to celebrate this country's founding. If anything, the lack of social media posts from Mattel on the 4th was a missed opportunity for Mattel to publicly express it's shame and disdain for the USA. Yes, choosing not to post anything is effectively the same thing, but it would have been a stronger statement to actually come out and express their views directly. It would have been a bold move and one that I think most American's could relate too.
Communications team might have been off during July 4th or America is such an embarrassment with Trump at the helm that celebrating the US as a worldwide company when we are now a sh!th0le country that is the epicenter of Covid19 makes little sense.
I work at Mattel, but I'm not sure I follow. Are you suggesting that Mattel is somehow inherently anti-American? What could be more American than Barbie Dolls and Hot Wheels cars?
If you are asking this question clearly you don’t work at Mattel.
