Expect a very strong bonus

GM posts 4% sales growth in 2024, as market share keeps expanding
Fri, January 3, 2025

General Motors had a strong 2024, growing U.S. sales and market share with a redesigned portfolio of both electric and gas-powered vehicles.

For the year, GM expanded overall sales by 4%, to 2.7 million vehicles, our highest total since 2019. For the fourth quarter, sales were up 21% from the year-earlier period.

Electric vehicle sales jumped 50% for the quarter and 125% for the year, roughly doubling our market share over the course of the year. GM was the #2 seller of EVs in the U.S. across the second half of 2024.<<<

We were the leading seller of full-sized pickups for the fifth straight year – with the highest annual sales since 2007. And we were the top seller of full-size sport utility vehicles for an astonishing 50th straight year.

There should be absolutely no excuses for anything less than a bigger bonus this year. GM sales were astronomical. The 40% of the bonus relegated to EV sales can't be discounted either. Sales were up 125% for the year! Sales overall were up 4%. Accept no excuses. If they reward the shareholders, they should reward their employees too.

Read: 6.2L V8 engines, not 3 cylinder engines, not Eqinoxes.

It's not hole in your Global Propulsion System designed engine block! It's an Internal Observation Viewing Port! Hope you enjoy that 3 cylinder Equinox as a courtesy vehicle while waiting for parts to be delivered from gm CCA..

They'll just claim the damage is the customer's fault and not pay for it.

The customer must have towed too much weight, and made jack rabbit starts when stop lights turned green.

The GM V8 bearing issue is a really big f'ing deal. Could cause an engine breach! As in a hole in your block. At the least the engine fails with a few thousand miles on it. Avg repair will be just under $8k. Can you imagine buying an $80-100k car and the engine seizes shortly after you buy it? They are going to destroy their customer base! Incredible.
Mind you, vehicles affected are the bread and butter for sales. Tahoe, Suburban, Escalade, Yukon, etc.

GM foolishly tried to launch new technology, while being incapable of delivering 100 year-old technology without numerous recalls. They did get a government "pat on the head", but those days are over.

Still missed the ev sales target by a lot. Depending how they want to handle that, there goes a quarter of the bonus.

Look what the team GM metrics are!

If it's low, better start looking

Uh, Trump may actually spend more than comatose Biden.
We are at what now, 37 trillion in debt.
Eventually this will come due whether we pay it down or not.

Well folks it’s about two weeks away from finding out the TeamGM multiplier then you gotta meet with your boss to see your individual review too. The numbers are already determined imo so at this point it’s just a matter of waiting to find out.

"revamp the fraudulent health care system, the fraudulent financial system, the fraudulent educational system"

Improving your own life doesn't mean changing the entire system. It means making meaningful changes within your own life to change it. Paying off debt, learning new skills, learning where the opportunities are, researching stable investments during difficult times, improving your relationships with others, etc. So when it comes to work, there could be opportunities there. Can you improve the situation? Get new training, volunteer to head a project, be more visible - more useful and SURVIVE?

It's easy to blame the whole system, the POTUS, the banks, the insurance industry, the company you work at. TBH it's a f'ing cop-out.
NO ONE IS GOING TO SAVE YOU. The survivors of this next cycle will navigate it by taking control over their own lives. This cycle will be very different from the others. It's called, 'The great taking' and it's been underway for some time now but most people are too selfish and spoiled to pay attention.

Cuts help release funds to justify fraudulent financial reports, while company lost 70% of it's employees over the past few years.

"They complain but won't do a single thing to improve their lives."

You are spot on.
When they get some free time they need to revamp
the fraudulent health care system, the fraudulent financial system,
the fraudulent educational system, ...
Wait, they are going to need a lot of free time.

I'm just going to admit to writing many of the posts here including this one. They used to call me, "the long post guy" so some of my posts are signed LPG.
I'm trying to wake people up but I've faced lots of negativity. There are absolutely scores of miserable cowards who are sad sacks. They complain but won't do a single thing to improve their lives. Some of my posts have been censored and deleted. I don't know why I bother.
But you can see how the reactions are to facts, opinions and articles they don't want to see.
2025 is going to be a brutal wake up call for millions of Americans.

Imo you’re right but you’re preaching to the wrong audience. Most folks that come to this kind of website are looking for bad news or talking out their behinds. A little positivity isn’t what they want to read.

@fd+1jh1n8qeb is right.

As GM held off making cuts in November during the Presidential Election, additional cuts most likely will be happening during the end January/beginning of February.

It has to do with the low performers percentage definitions. GM has to keep up with that according to Jacobson and Hoffman.

So yeah, strong bonuses this year, but, GM will just dangle the carrot until they announce you have either been put on a PIP with a reduced bonus or have to be let go shafting you on the bonus.

Just because they're doing well doesn't mean they'll share with employees.

They announce record profits every quarter but they still do layoffs.

Loyalty is one way.
