Anyone knows if this is true ?

They've always had a way to track time online, etc., but the manager would have to put in a request for someone they were suspicious of with business case to actually have access to that information.

Verint-certified administrator here.

You're fooling yourself if you think that Verint (or Witness, as it used to be called) is the only way for IT or management to see what you're doing on your PC. IT has ALWAYS been able to track what websites you're visiting, and what you're looking up or listening to on those websites.

The big benefit to Verint is collating screen capture with call recording with all that existing data, along with the ability to turn that recording OFF when necessary - HR interaction, PII data, that kind of stuff. Not that it actually works all the time to do so, but it's the idea that counts, right?

If your leadership wants to micromanage you, they're gonna do it regardless of what technology they have. I had a manager once want to know how many emails I was reading every day, and made us log every conversation we had with anyone, work-related or not. Excel sheets from he-l. The end result of that was actually adding a person to our team.

The life & retirement contact center has been using verint for at least 10 years. It's nothing new, don't be lazy and you won't have any issues.

5xff+1vOrgge3 I was being sarcastic. I too have to clock everything. But other people don’t. And these are the things they are doing.

@2bls+1vOrgge3 You do realize that work is work and not personal errand and gardening time, right? You are literally the reason we have the nanny state. I can’t use the bathroom without being on a timer. When you waddle off to roll in the dirt for a hour or pick up your brat from school if leaves everyone else high and dry. Great job.

No wonder they have to have a special team to work the work of the people who quit. India needs to speed it up. As do the Bots. This is a digital company now and so the bots will be babysitting the big dogs.

To answer your question, yes it tracks everything. To individual websites, songs listened to, and not just “Wikipedia” but whatever you looked up and how long you were on each page.

@2bls - start applying. I just did. It's a garbage company and we all deserve better. Except for the shills, management/leadership trash, "big dogs", HR goons that troll these forums.

It’s unfair that some people have to use it and others don’t. I’d like to be able to go get a haircut or go tend to my garden, pick my kid up from school, etc. without having to deal with the super nanny.

You can tell the true grunts in the company that are forced to use monitoring tools to keep track of and babysit them LOL

It’s been used for many years. New versions are dropped regularly by them like most SaaS companies, but Allstate is typically a late adopter, so it can sometimes appear as something new.

We, in claims, have been using the Workflow tool for about 3 yrs. Why isn't everyone? And, you all should be!

Some parts of organization had that software years ago and moved away from it. Claims certainly used. Back to future, possibly.
