@2bjh+1p1BELKS Good read and a smart lady, she sees it for exactly what it is.
It was carefully written but you could clearly read between the lines on her off paper opinion. Yeh, she sees the endgame like we do. When she writes 'it's not the Titanic', I read 'Yet'!

It is all prep for divestiture.

This is a decent summary. Not an impressive realignment message.

Remember that VK has to make an immediate financial impact to be deemed acceptable by the board and Wall Street and hence receive his life changing bonuses.
From the 5hit heap that currently exists, it would take many years to grow back organically.
He ain't got years, in fact he probably by his own reckoning has estimated a 4 -5 year stretch at the very best. He will aggressively continue where DA left off to strip every dollar he can out of what remains to hold that stock price. He may be well be the last CEO of Allied Signal's Honeywell before it is broken into pieces.
Some say that behind closed doors that is already in the works.

Only thing new is an all-in on money-losing green new deal, a segment dedicated to direct or indirect government funding of green products no one wants to pay for. Marketing 101 - create value for your customer - has been thrown out the window.

Rinse & Repeat. Same old same old for at least 2 decades now. Wall Street has caught on...
Resume of CEO lists scrabble, word games and spin are major strengths. LOL

Blah blah blah. Streamlining organizations. Blah. Synergistic alignment. blah blah. Less overhead costs. blah blah blah. Reduction in force. BINGO!

Yep, rebrand of the same old, same old to ring in VK's tenure and a story for Wall Street to ply to investors.

Nothing changes except for names and a guarantee that more RIFS are to come as part of their 'simplification' strategy.

Every new CEO has to make their mark on the organization. The names sound trendy. How would prospective customers know which segment they fall into?

A gimmick at best. lipstick on a pig. New paint on an old dilapidated house.
