Thread regarding Alteryx layoffs

Layoffs, maybe, maybe not

Great example from JY—Microsoft laid off 6,000 employees and saved a ton of money.

We are NOT Microsoft. Not even close.

Why on earth would she bring that up right after mentioning that people in Marketing are already dealing with PTSD from past layoffs? Thanks for making everyone even more anxious—same person who, right after last June’s cuts, warned us that “PE is watching everyone!”

Either get better leadership or give her proper training. Seriously. She doesn't think before she speaks. Enough.

Airhead with pretty privilege. Only hired for one reason.

@42x Please. They all brag about "lawyering up," but when it's time to act, they go silent.

People are getting pushed out, yes.

Most of them are lawyering up.

Saw that a Product Director on Desktop and a ProductOps lead left today.

Were they pushed out?

It's re-org like in 2021. People are getting shuffled around different teams. Small number of (layoffs)/push outs on the way.

Y'all remember The Great Resignation?

@2tp

There are significant "pushouts" in the works, whereby existing employees are going to be "pushed out" in favor of more competent people from leaders' past employers.

Everyone in Marketing and all sub diaries. Digital, 'Strategy', Campaigns, Integrated...

AYX, again, is going to look like a very different company by the end of calendar 2025. It will be the THIRD almost complete and wholesale turnover of execs and employees in the past 4.5 years.

Third time is no charm..

@24y I take my velvet gloves off to show respect and admiration. 300 is very good. Good for you. Most people who leave AYX simply say 'I feel relieved.' Keep that in mind.

Over 300. Other companies only pay a little bit more, for more work. Or they require hybrid in a high cost of living area.

I think it’s time, before I get fu---d out of options.

@20m

I am doing enough side projects on the side that it’s another full-time job. To offset the paper-work and consensus required to use any modern tooling. Bunch of engineers set in their fu--ing ways looking to just die.

Time to get paid for it.

People are focused on small tasks that hardly qualify as meaningful work.

If you are looking to grow your skills, this place is not it.

Stay at Alteryx for too long and nobody going to hire you.

All you have here is people with leverage over others.

If ur choosing money at Ayx over growing as professional -- you are already left in the dust. A

In 2024, Clearlake set specific revenue-based operating targets to maintain our current headcount. Based on the pipeline and revenue through Q2, are we on track to meet those targets, or have they been adjusted to allow more time to build pipeline for Alteryx One?

Many of us remain concerned about potential layoffs and cost-cutting, despite the enthusiasm for new product ideas.
