There are lots of overlap, people doing stuff that could be done by interns, huge fat layers of mgmt that have been useless for decades. I am basically wanting good people to stay and the people who got paid off the backs of people who actually worked hard and had hard skills besides being buddies with someone executive. I hope oracle does the right thing and eliminates a ton of GBU mgmt or overlap. Customers wouldn’t even know the difference if GBU products even bad managers.

GBU mgmt is sometimes worse than oracle mothership just cause they’re all thick as thieves and yet like Commodore 64 world of skills.

I was in one as well. my last two managers. they were about as competent as two pre-teen boys. one a blob. one totally miserable at home. both pathetic. absolutely. acquisition wasteland. use to love my old beat up SVP....Blonde Barbie...every time we'd grab some random company no one ever heard of..she would fawn all over them....like a teenage girl at a dance......she would then go further....and promote them above the people who stayed loyal to her for decades. she would go a step further and then stop giving raises to those people that were loyal to her for so long. I reckon if anyone saw her on the street....she would get an earful. Absolutely horrible woman.
OP here...I worked in the GBU/GIU for 10+ years. I saw it firsthand and I know that it still exists cause a ton of the trash that was there when I was there...is still there...stealing money. I am sorry if you don't like my opinion/post. Not my fault. Oracle no longer pays me. I have very few connections to the place. Most of the good people I worked with or around got out before I did. The ones who stayed....their skills are obsolete and they know Oracle is a shelter for them. Sorry to be so blunt, but most of us were treated bad and really crapped on. The GBU mgmt and their lackies....deserve what may be coming. I am free. Have a great day!

There are so many racist, s-xist, nationalist managers at Energy business unit. They don’t know the business, or how to manage people.
@ar I am from CGIU, i also feel lot of duplicate management exists, last time CGIU got affected but more engineers than management. So this time both engineers and management will be affected? Any insight on Percentage numbers? if product is not getting enough customers what will happen?

They’re GIU’s and I bet you’re on your way out cos the GIU’s are staying. With insight on who’s being cut, just know it’s coming. A little from everywhere in the org but just not from the best part.
