@203 LOL. I don’t think anyone ever thought RL looked good.
Typos = drunk posting by a disgruntled layed off former employee.
That said, I know RL and AoB, and both are “little” men… not natural leaders, not wise, both got to the top because they looked good rather than were good.
Production is starting to tank at EFS and in Permian basin. COP needs to divest more assets and become smaller. Equatorial Guinea does not make sense today…sell it
Adjusted for inflation, Exxon bought Mobil for $152 billion and Royal Dutch bought Shell for $162 billion. It is unlikely but still possible, especially since we would make one he-l of an upsteam arm to an integrated company, or like you said a bunch of US assests to a Saudi Aramco.
Pioneer and Anadarko before them had originally thought they were too big to be bought. If EOG and OXY can be put on the market I wouldn’t rule anyone out by a world power like an Aramco.
Pretty sure Texaco and Mobil before them thought they were untouchable. Do you think anyone at Baker Hughes thought they would be flying the GE flag for a while?
Same conspiracy, 10 years later and each year in between. COP is too big to sell.
We have been parsing off assets here and there, consolidating land positions. But the company won't be sold.
