The comments at EC were brutal.
Why oh why would we want our ego-fueled temper tantrum kept hidden from the world to see?????

Embarrassing.
Pathetic.
Any news? Haven't heard anything.
I’m a reporter who wrote about the lawsuit last month (https://www.channeldive.com/news/avaya-c1-convergone-lawsuit-interfering-genesys/810842/) If anyone from Avaya or C1 is interested in speaking to me on-background (not to be named) please reach out to me at janderson@industrydive.com
Which is it, Avaya? You are on the AI fast track and no one can touch what you do, OR you are so desperate that you have to file suit and try to get restraining orders against your #1 global partner?
YOU CANT BE BOTH.
Section 16:
"The teleconference will be conducted on Webex"
For some reason, that's funny as he-l. XD
@24
How many trade secrets can there be if you're selling buggy whips?
There are not a lot of comments, but nearly 3k views!
This is so funny. The management "threats" of us engaging on this forum result in limited comments, yet a high volume of activity!
- PS -- It is against the law for them to threaten us against speaking up. Only thing we can't share is trade secrets*
This has MLM written all over it. Recall her BFF that she hired from Genesys who AM forced out because she was so vile with false power? It's just her style. Brash. Rude. Unnecessary cut throat. No strategy. No logic. Just threats and power plays.
It pleases me so much that the market reaction is 100% bad on this news. As it should be. This is horrible behavior. Terrible business decision. Nothing good will come from this. Just accelerating the journey to the end.
@OP
Avaya and it's leadership are so irrelevant in the world of #CX & #AI. Nothing says that more than being so desperate they are forced to sue their biggest partner.
What's the relevance of Alvaria & Aspect now? Take note of how PD doesn't set up companies for success. He just does what PE tells him to do. Market climate is waaaaaay different. No more cheap money. Not easy to just move chess pieces. Now he actually has to be something more than a PE front boy. It's not gonna happen
@14e
YES. Yes. I believe that is why they are filing to seal the records and are attempting to get restraining orders.
They want to strong arm the MSP, keep partner away from end-clients (Avaya should have considered that 10 yrs ago....) but also keep it quiet.
Slippery, Slippery Slope.
Question -- Does private equity commonly give in to Liquidation
Is this really the spitting match they want to engage upon?
Doesn't this open Pandoras Box regarding the questionable standing of Avaya in meeting the terms of long standing contracts?
Upon Audit, how much of the base isn't tied to a contract that requires specified support/ Country-specific support/revenue base/ Roadmap guarantees/ Employee minimums?
Ouch. That's just bad business.
I see, upon review, that C1 was supporting Avaya throughout the month. If I read this accurately, it would appear that their marketing team allowed Genesys too much freedom in drafting their Genesys/C1 partner messaging. Amateurs, to say the least.
Certainly, I trust that the sales teams have been steering clients away from Avaya. Yet the entire world knows to "proceed with caution" when it comes to Avaya.
It is troublesome to witness public litigation. Has the relationship soured that much that the C-teams can't learn how to at least pretend to play nice?
REMINDER....
°°°°Converge One cited Avaya"s sharp market share drop as a primary reason in their Chapter 11 Filing
AND...
°°°° Converge One didn't get away with a clean restructuring. It was messy. Courts weren't as agreeable. This was as recent as September (see link). Converge one can't afford to allow business to evaporate. They were not as privileged as the scoundrels @ Avaya who stole from shareholders, employees and handed the business to greedy new leaders.

I notice that Genesys isn't the focus. What is the current status of Genesys suing Avaya over ML-M contacting ex employees to get information to use for Avaya? Is that still ongoing?
The baby sues the mother because she took the t-t away.
We were all snickering as we observed ConvergeOne various posts about moving clients from Avaya to Genesys. Seems a stretch to pursue legal action vs combating the "narrative" via strategy & promotions. Yet that is who we are now. We can't succeed via normal business operations. Just buy cutting down to the bone and litigation. Way to be, Avaya! We all must be so proud!
