STOP with all the offshoring to Philippines and India. Taking away so many jobs from us here in the states. This company doesn’t have a rats A** about Americans.

They care about Americans! They care about really specific Americans, which doesn’t include you or me. They care a whole he-l of a lot about themselves and their rich stockholder private equity friends.
They also don’t care about anyone in India, the Philippines, or anywhere else. If a different country offered the same skills at a lower cost, we’d RIF everyone in India and Philippines in favor of something cheaper.
They care about Americans, all right. Themselves in particular. But not anyone else, American or no.
If we replaced people with well trained, ready to do the job people, then fine. I was on a call for an hour with "help" desk where someone in CGS read from a script the whole time. He was just as frustrated as I was because he couldn't handle the call.
That is a leadership failing. We hired people who can't do the job. Convinced them we'll train them well and then throw them on calls.
Let's say that person's pay is $10 and I make $50. That was a waste of $60 that hour because nothing actually got resolved and two people left a call pi---d. Good thing we're throwing more roles over there.
I wouldn’t mind half so much if one they spoke English enough to communicate effectively and understand what we need. (IT) and 2. They could learn our processes correctly. Offshoring UM functions is a debacle, we are constantly cleaning up their mistakes stateside. Big mistakes. Providers are furious and frustrated and rightfully so.
Sadly, it’s been going on for almost a decade now, and has over time consumed more and more things, and spread further and wider across so many different departments. It’s scary.
Between offshoring and AI- they’ll find ways to cut costs and save money any way they can.
Quality has gone to complete sh-t.
I think @1zwj was trying to use sarcasm. Or at least I hope that was the intent.
The whole world’s gone nuts and Elevance is leading the charge.
If you ever supported open borders, you deserve this. When they hurt blue collar jobs, you laughed and said “learn to code” I hope you lose everything in unemployment.
I agree 100%. Way too much offshoring to Philippines and India. We need to do more offshoring to Singapore and Malaysia. Maybe Australia; I could use a “g’day mate” right about now.
Couldn't agree more.
Plus, our members/customers don't want this either. So much for trying to help the members. HA!
