Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Everyone is more than depressed

I am in the burnout phase.
I really don’t know anyone who is happy here. Is it possible that anyone is happy here except those at the very top and those who somehow manage to convince themselves that they should be satisfied just because they still have a job?

I'm ready to leave...my son in law works at the Wal Mart DC by me Saturday-Monday and makes $21 an hour..gets a $500 bonus if he works the Friday before his scheduled shift, and a $200 bonus if he shows up for his regular 3 day shifts..that's $2800 in bonus pay on top of $3360 in regular hours pay..in a damn months time..to drive a freaking forklift and never be on call..

'Folks just don’t understand. The company is losing, revenue is going backwards, the quarterly clubhouse rah rahs try and explain it away but it can’t be hidden. Kinetic and wholesale growth is give aways, Enterprise is hemorrhaging. NOTE TO POTENTIAL BUYER “DONT DO IT THIS IS A TU-D”. Wish I see Tony, The Brothers,!and leadership fail because it’s all a smokescreen of bs.'

Zayo is probably offering way less than Tony and the LR5 need to continue their lavish living, but might not have a choice because not many other companies out there are willing to purchase this train-wreck of a company.

stop caring. Windstream made it clear tdgaf about you or the communities in the US. Windstream is owned by a terrible company, managed by greedy in it for themselves scavengers who are about to sell off assets and jump ship with their pockets full of gold.

Windstreams management choices - like other companies who make the choice to offshore our work opportunities, are part of the reason the middle class are more poor than before and are getting further behind the livable wage range.

But this is a great place to ‘work’ if you plan on showing up, putting in minimal effort, and memory dumping at the end of day. If you only get some work done each week, you will still be a top performer.

The koolaid being served windstream leadership meetings must be some good stuff… speaking directly to the leaders reading this - you suck. Speak up for your employees. Fight to get them raises. And I’m not talking the lowly managers who barely get paid more than the staff they babysit.

Try to do my job for Windstream, but then read how prices have gone up for all. And how biggest wage increase for American workers in decades to cover these increases UNLESS YOU WORK AT WINDSTREAM. Then I get depressed and decide if management does not care why should I care!!!

Dude. You missed the memo that Newsweek has us as one of the top 100 places to work in the country. Could this be the fake news that the Cheeto Overlord talked about? Would Newsweek lie about it?

This company does not care about the worker. The lack of any meaningful raise and continued insurance package should be proof enough, much less the variety of overseas workers. Those used to be US-based jobs, but TT sold them out for his millions in performance bonuses. F that guy.

I'm not ki----g myself for this place. They don't care about me, so I can't care about them.

Maybe Tony can share more epiphanies from his visits to the Swiss Alps with us and turn the ship around.

Awww, depressed.... Aren't there dr-gs for that? But chances are your Medical plan doesn't cover them. As an employee that was let go just prior to the bankruptcy, I think you should thank your lucky stars you are still employed and drawing an income - many aren't. Here's some advice.....At the beginning of the day, say to yourself - IT ALL PAYS THE SAME - whether you give it 100% and ki-l yourself every day trying to keep up, or whether you pull down your pants and slide on the ice - like so many others do. I'll bet they aren't depressed. Good Luck
