Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

India is goin down...BPO + pandemic + 3rd world country = massive operational risk & CEOs like chainsaw are hiding it from shareholders

Wells Fargo and any corporate crony who follows this BPO offshore model is hiding pandemic/political unrest risk from shareholders.

Well, forbes is finally putting the pin in the offshore model bubble and admitting there may be a problem.

"The tragic situation is compounded by the fact that India has such a large population – 1.4 billion people – and the nation is still building its healthcare apparatus. Its hospitals and healthcare infrastructure are overwhelmed. Our hearts go out to the nation of India at this difficult time.

This COVID-19 spike in India has an incredible dynamic in the third-party services industry. Almost all US companies that have large global talent resources and a service supply chain depend upon Indian labor. As I talk with service providers and the Global Business Services (GBS) centers in India, many report up to 30% of their workforce now affected by the current COVID-19 outbreak."

The bank has sent over 60000 jobs to india and planned to send even more in the "transition" and " lift and shift" protocol to blatently fire americans and hire indian nationals at a 90%+ labor arbitrage / labor loop ho-e play.

We are now witness to the black swan event that no corporation who signed up to push corporate work to foreign land ever planned for.

Time to put heels up and watch this epic sh-t show unfold.

I sense a trend that we have a serious racist or two here. Such hate towards people of India. This is sad, since they are now getting hit hard and could use our help, thoughts and prayers.

Wells was never a leader in anything but scandal. People still here need to own our history before we can change it and move on.

"How many Well executives are from India? Anyone knows?"

Just look at who Raj B under the previous CFO brought in.... They have been displacing hardworking Americans!

I can’t argue with outsourcing, but outsourcing to India has never made any sense. Culturally they are not problem solvers, but script followers. India and Pakistan do make for possible major disruptions in the region. The lack of any identity tracking system (ie, no proof of identity, SSN equivalent, etc) opens the door for Pakistanis getting into American systems. It could make 9/11 look mild.

These things are not “ifs”, but whens. CEOs like Schart are asleep at the wheel and abdicating their leadership responsibilities.

Outsource to Poland. Much better educated, more decisive and entrepreneurial.

Hmmmmm. Outsourcing important work to other companies and trusting them to do that work properly. Let’s ask Johnson & Johnson how that worked out.

Just when other corporations have decided to take a more conservative approach to their outsourcing strategies, after 2020, Charlie is ramping it up at WFC. Hey – I guess you’ve got to hand it to a guy who can convince our BOD to pay him $25,000,000/year for strategies that are already outdated. He’s quite the leader.

If Wells TRULY wanted to be a “leader”, they would forge their own path instead of doing what everyone else is doing and jump off a cliff as my sainted mama used to say.

Fortune 500 Companies follow each other around like small children, copying ideas that seem successful “at the time”, unable to innovate for themselves. Companies outsourcing US medical supply production to China, banks and the subprime mortgage crisis, airlines over–leveraging themselves, BODs failing to act as fiduciaries for their investors, mergers and acquisitions gone wrong, allowing company stock buybacks in order that execs can falsely jack stock prices up to improve their Performance Pay, CEOs thinking short–term.

52% of the Fortune 500 companies from 20 years ago are now extinct. So no, do not put your faith in companies who put short–term profits above excellence, innovation, long–term strategy, core values, a proactive approach rather than a reactive approach, healthy corporate culture, and knowledge,

@1zbe. Too many, and of course they only hire their own so that brings more offshore folks here to displace Americans.

That’s not “diversity”, more like treasonous conduct.

Buffet said on a show to get as much money in cash the way the economy looks, everyone should have at least 100k in cash available.

Predictions is a run on banks coming with the upcoming crash. Government broke so not sure they can bail out banks a second time like 2008.

Guys dont worry too much, they are working on the next gen networks and systems, this will prevent theft and prob eliminate most cyber security jobs as this new network can do most themself more secure. There will be no more obsolete banks like these around. Too many crimes both internal and external. Everything you do and about you will be public knowledge. Other countries will have no way either, in fact access to them from US may even be entirely blocked since their networks wont be as advanced.

Just wait till an Indian getting paid 15k a year decides to steal 1/3 of the nations financial data and sell it to a crime network. There's some things you don't want a guy from India having their hands on. MASSIVE RISK.

a lot of non educated people responding to the thread, that country is dangerous – India, Op is right, they do not follow US law. That means anything they learn from US companies they will steal or sell very dangerous to put a US bank in this dangerous situation.

This is very dangerous the pandemic there, they took guard down and relaxed things without even distributing the vaccine to the citizens. They should have kept it strict lock down for all citizens. Sad it came to this, but countries have to look at all China's mistakes and do not repeat these.

I agree with the OP on this one too! No drama. Just the facts, but some people don’t like facts. They try to bully you into burying your head in the sand, like a good little lamb, who doesn’t dare think for yourself. These are the same people who will blindly follow each other right over the edge of a cliff.

Keep them coming, OP.
