They laid off a whole group of people today, some with over 3 years at the company. If you still have a job I highly recommend you find a backup plan.

@1z8 or KG is not really in control. The board is still his boss. Cost savings via getting rid of employees will never stop. Never. Especially with AI continuing to grow. Even before the REIT split layoffs quietly happened at least every quarter… I remember everyone in panic mode when July budget talks started happening as they planned for 4Q layoffs to get ready for the new year. This industry is going one direction. It’s on a circle cycle .. it all comes
back around.
I saw a whole department leave with barely any notice. What does that say?
@1nf removed because they can't handle the truth
@1dq if names are mentioned outside of C-suite execs, comments are typically removed.
Anybody else noticed their comments get deleted on this site?
@10y just did!!
It’s a matter of time before self service and chatbots take over most of the jobs. Who wants to call in for anything. For real. Elon the richest person in America who owns Starlink, has the model right and is the most profitable when it comes to tech support, sales, and customer service.
That's why you dont document processes or troubleshooting steps. You're just writing a guide for your replacements. Either do stuff yourself or tell them you're too busy
This company makes me absolutely sick we work our a$$ off an this is what they do to people that work like this 16+ hours a day to move entire dept overseas just because you can pay them little to nothing I hope all the customer complain about the customer service because they don’t even know how to speak English and we have older customers that been with us for 50+ years and they are the ones going to leave the company and find another provider
People have been there all those years and never cared because it didn't effect them. Whole orgs basically outsourced over seas im IT over the last 10 years. Corporate America doesn't care about workers. Only profits and bonus for the top brass. You can ask any of the high ups how worries they are lol. They're doing just fine.
25 years here and was laid off. They don’t care about loyalty or hard work. It’s all about getting groups smaller, working the remaining people harder, and padding the pockets of executives.
@e6 HR itself is THE problem!
Just go get another job and let them figure out when you stopped working.
@d3 Lol, this is still a telecom company on paper, right? Change the name again and you’ll still be a telecom company. Constant layoffs has been a part of this industry since the feds broke up the Bell monopoly. Good luck to all who are not real or fake executives.
@e7 I've been here 15 years. Have multiple interviews scheduled over the next week.
The increase in people leaving voluntarily is eye opening. Those of us who have been here a while have seen hard times but most were willing to ride it out. When old heads start cashing in their chips and walking you know things are really bad.
It's getting ridiculous! The best employees are leaving with barely 2 weeks notice, and weekly layoffs. Surely someone in HR sees this as a problem!
@d3 Theres another set coming
@d3 they got rid of over half of my department
@d3 layoffs were supposedly confirm to be over before the last two groups were laid off. This sketchy company will lay off multiple times and will say they are done. They say understaffed and then lay off the department that is understaffed.
Layoffs have now been completed after this last round, confirmed.
@aa yeah no kidding. I'm just laughing because you made it sound like 3 years is a lot of time with a company.
What group?
@a6 correct over 3 years means 3-100
3 years? LOL...many of use were laid off with over 24 years with the company.
