Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Sprint Resentment

I don’t fully understand it, maybe it was a match made in he-l. I’ll tell you one thing though moving to TMUS was gross as sh-t. 🤮 Good money though.

Nothing like Sprint folks whining about T-Mobile. Sprint folks, your stocks were work $5.99 a share before Magenta ACQUIRED you. The hard work of Team Magenta made some poor people from Overland Park very, very rich and helped the rest of you have something to retire on once you're old and out to pasture. Give me a break with the Legacy Sprint disgruntled.

John and Marcel lied to get the merger approved. Mike Sievert, under the direction of Deutsch Telecom, did exactly what the merger was supposed to accomplish: reduce competition, eliminate customer choice, raise prices, layoff 20,000 employees (and counting), gain spectrum to build out 5G. Sprint was eliminated the moment that merger was approved. T-Mobile's culture was also eliminated the moment the merger. The issues is, and will continue to be a German company that doesn't care about American jobs or customers. There is no Sprint, only a greedy German company.

@1zf I’ve got news for you, there is nothing in this company that even remotely resembles what was Sprint culture. If you want to blame anybody blame your boy Sievert. Mr. “Wow, we really do have white privilege” and “everyone I’ve ever known has died from Covid… so you best get the jab”. I know, what does that have to do with the business? Well, what do you expect from a twisted mind?

@1z3 Get over it? We are pointing back to the day the Sprint cancer started to destroy a company we all enjoyed working for. A company we all didn’t mind putting in the extra time so we, as a true team, would succeed.

We all have to work for a loving, most of us were happy to work for T-Mobile prior to that day 5 1/4 years ago. Most of us are distraught becuz that day started this New T-Mobile that’s filled with low morale, constant fear of layoffs, and the reversing of policies we know work in favor of Sprint ones that involve endless meetings, over/wasteful spending, and bloat.

"GET OVER IT!"

It's been 5 1/4 years since T-Mobile and Sprint merged.

That's ridiculous to keep pointing back to the merger with Sprint as the source for all T-Mobile's ills.

Sprint is great at turning a diamond into coal. They are about as effectove at running a network as Dish is at building one. I made the first call t TMobile customer service a few weeks ago and it took 5 calls over 3 days to activate an iPhone. 😆

@OP Meh, the people were just a crust that needed to be trimmed. Sprint was purchased just for the Spectrum alone. You saw how fast everything else was spun/sold off when the contract terms were met.

@15a+1jz6afb5s,

WOW! Is Agastya the same “non-public” employee who was maligned back in 2023?[1]

”Changes coming to engineering and ops. Hope they get rid of deadbeats in engineering and awful managers like agastya and his crybaby manager.”

On the contrary, many smart, brilliant, and successful folks like the new COO; see the attached LinkedIn post below. Perhaps, your survey sample size is too tiny.🔎📝

Abdul was an overrated liability. His legacy was to release mobility code before it was well tested creating chaos internally and with vendors. I am glad that short little tyrant is gone. Agastya tries to carry on the same tradition but his wife Neeraj A. Keeps him in check

@zk Sheety Gopoopasalami isn't a real person at T-Mo or anywhere else. Reread the last name, syllable by syllable. 💩

@h9+1jz6afb5s, thanks for the clue. If my memory is correct, I recall the main topic of the post was to sling some possibly defamatory and libelous statements towards Mike Sievert, but the last statement in the post was a bit odd. Does anyone know who is ”Sheety”?

@e0, as far as I remember, that post included a pretty nasty comment aimed at another exec. I can’t recall exactly who, but I do remember thinking it was way out of line. That might be why the moderators took it down.

@OP+1jz6afb5s, the “match” made a lot of sense from a technology standpoint, but perhaps the mixing of the corporate cultures may have been a shock for some. I can see how the MAGENTA RAH! RAH! RAH! may be a bit much, but ask a Legacy T-Mobile employee to recount the pre-John Legere days.

@e0+1jz6afb5s,

Just repost it. If the post did not violate any rules, it should stay up the second time as the moderator might recognize that the person that reported it, may be “bullying” you.

The legacy sprint team brought in a whole bunch of processes that delayed process flow (e.g. processes that failed sprint and opened them for purchase).

Neville, Abdul and others had set up this deployment of network plan back before the purchase. They then got rid of those who designed it and handed it off to the trained monkeys from Sprint.
