Layoff notices are expected in the second week of October. From what I know, the most impacted groups will likely be directors, senior-level engineers, and the IT team. Employees who have been with the company for more than 8–10 years may be at higher risk.

Unverified. Someone said October, nothing happened. Then November, nothing happened. If you name all the months you will be right eventually.
15% in Jan, tighten the belts!
@1ya 30% or less, unless the US government step in! as of now our CEO is working for the big investors!
Always remember HR is not there for you, they are not on your side. They are strictly there to protect the company from you.
@OP What percentage of QCOM employees are in the US?
I am sure they want that as low as possible
Anyone laid off yet?
"Why Wait?"
Doesn't the Q love offshoring more and hate American's? Every American employed full time is chewing away at an investors 3rd home or preventing them from buying their 5th brand new car
@ex hahahaha troll hahahaha
I guess 15% of managers
@ex 15% of the company is being laid off?
15% confirmed, notices mid Oct
No engineering layoffs this year, sorry.
Source??
Sr Director of my team said no HR is currently working on layoff, but it was as of 1 month ago. If they ever do, it could be to avoid to pay bonus in Dec. In fact, I heard Directors above do not get bonus this year and instead they get extra RSU.
Q usually issues WARN notices later than layoff announcements. Affected employees will be paid for certain days (e.g., 60 days) required by WARN depending on the region. They will be required to document everything in several days and then forbidden to return to office.
If they issue WARN notices first, you can imagine managers will be in great trouble. Everyone will try to use any dirty methods (e.g., sugar daddy) to stay.
Old news....it's no coincidence that it overlaps with AR25. Low performance "layoff" are now the Q norm.
There is no warn notice update.
If your 40 or over your on the list
