Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Ulf all hands call

Wonder if this is where they tell us operations is being outsourced. I mean the push to have workday updated by the 15th and now a conference call on the 27th is kinda a weird coincidence.

Sounds like Ulf is going to announce the outsourcing & re-badging of his org. or perhaps layoffs in anticipation of the outsourcing

workday updates were used extensively in talent review. the idea is to see who is at the bottom for the next round of layoffs. don't be at the bottom.

Is it possible layoff is coming as soon as next week? The all hands is just to explain the rationale behind the layoff?

It's an All Hands because that's something leaders do to share their vision and if you ever think big employee changes impacting only a portion of the employee base would be announced to the broader org, including the affected employees, you don't know how any of this works. Hardly anything of substance will be discussed.

Changes coming to engineering and ops. Hope they get rid of deadbeats in engineering and awful managers like agastya and his crybaby manager.

There's a massive restack effort (e.g., we're shuffling the deck chairs) in Bellevue that we were just told about yesterday afternoon. Don't know if that's connected.
