Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

It's too late for DXC

So many talented people have walked out the door, and I lost some amazing coworkers who found better pay elsewhere. If only they’d been given a proper raise sooner, maybe they would’ve stayed. But that would have been way too much to expect from this place.

Same here, so many good people leaving. It's disturbing 😱

21 years working for same account and no payrise including this year for the last 11 years - thanks DXC/Manpower/HPE/HP!
Why am I staying? I love the job, its not hard, i'm over 50 and get an adequate salary, but its the pension contributions that make it worth staying (Who else will pay 34% pension contributions?)

Always remember Dxc’s motto - no pay raise yesterday, no pay raises today and for sure no pay raises tomorrow.

Employees better wise up and get their resume up and ready and start looking if you want more money. Staying will get you nothing but regret.

@1xgo+1vRfgekb It's not even unofficial. The company policy is well voiced - you will not be getting a pay rise. You will not be getting a promotion. You are not required, or even expected to stay. We have no respect for you because you are still here. Shut up. Nobody cares. We have stopped planning on you being here long ago.

This sentiment widespread. Thanks to the festive season have met up in person with lots of colleagues recently and all say the same thing. Even the managers don't have a good word to say about DXC and their unofficial advice is to just leave.

The truth is that they've damaged the business so much that they don't have the money to fix the pay problem.

All they can do is toss the odd morsel out occasionally and maybe appease some people.

I understand this but equally what I don't understand is a similar lack of executive pay control to go with it.

I read this week that united health care is the fourth largest company by revenue on Wall Street. It's something like @$550bn revenue.

Their (former) ceo was paid "massively" at $10m of salary and shares.

How does our ceo justify his pay when dxc is a fraction of that size?

@1bbm+1vRfgekb I'm only staying now so I can leave at the most inconvenient time possible. Have nothing lined up, don't need a reference, don't need the money. Same as other posters, good luck DXC figuring out what we did using all the new staff you're happy to pay market rate for, yet won't offer it to your previously loyal (stupid) staff who stayed on in hope.

It was a sh-t payrise. Not sure how they manage to give it so confidently. It would have been much better if they gave the same amount as a one time Christmas bonus. Job search activated and will be out of this sh-t place soon

I've also given up fighting for the respect I deserve. Good luck figuring it all out.
You've already proved you can't hire someone on double the money and they come in and fix everything overnight.
