Can anyone confirm or deny the rumor that the US severance will drop to 4 weeks max after this May RIF concludes?

Can anybody find a copy of the US severance package policy? It's gone.
30 day non-working transitional period with full pay and benefits, plus an additional 2 week per year of severance depending on tenure, a separation payment, transitional benefits, and external job placement support. I know first hand.
If you're in CA, and there's a layoff of I think more than 75 people, cal-warn act requires that you are given either 60 days notice or 60 days of pay and benefits.
Fwiw.
@1xcx+1mj0PoLQ while Google, MS, Meta have cash to pay decent severance, we don't
Down to four weeks?!??? In Ireland mandatory is 1.5 weeks... We will be lucky to get two ffs
In the US the severance policy disappeared from the internal website years ago.
Glad this doesn't come up everytime there's a layoff. Looking for people on here to confirm or deny what you're asking is ridiculous. Read your HR policy, it hasn't changed, yet.
Imagine rewarding employees who have survived and worked through a decade of layoffs with a smaller severance.
Cannot confirm nor deny that rumor, however it seems 4 weeks would be incredibly low compared to Google, MS, FB, etc. I expect to package to decrease, but not that low.

That would take some serious forward planning that our current Clown Show of an executive team has not previously demonstrated. So let’s not give them credit they have not earned.
