Thread regarding Anthem Inc. layoffs

I was in the office today.

Obviously no one was there, but they had a security guard in the reception area. I guess looking out for disgruntled employees who might be wielding firearms.

I mean, he was bent over double into his phone, but I wonder how many employees his temp salary would've covered across "PulsePoints."

Yeah. I've unfortunately been through enough of these to know that they install security at all locations the day after (and depending upon the site, multiple days after) a rif. It's SOP.

They should be just as or more concerned about violence related to how employees are treated while employed Anthem/EH, not a reaction to receiving a severance package and being able to get out with some money and time to recover to start fresh somewhere else....

Cause like 10% of workforce is being laid off across the enterprise. People at ALL levels.

that was the case yesterday and today with security guards at the entrances in the ny location, too... didn't even occur to me that was why (they haven't been posted there any other days i've come in)
