Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

ASAP

Because nobody has been able to tell what the pending impact is , I'm curious to see what people think the layoffs are going to look like tomorrow. I am thinking between 60 and 70 percent of us are going to be given the boot.

The only ones that don’t like the ASAP dept are just lazy agents who don’t know how to do their own job and get mad when a request is instantly denied because they don’t know any guidelines

@1dhh, you probably should have spent the time you took to type out that long sad support of ASAP to update your resume as sounds like in the coming days there may not be much of ASAP left. If ASAP was the almighty relevant and important area that you claim the powers that be wouldn't be eliminating most of it. I hear they are hiring CSR's. I'm sure you would be just a peach in that role. ;)

For those bashing ASAP. Keep in mind that your poor experience or resolution may have not been in your favor, it Does not constitute or justify your statements. Many!! And I do many crs work diligently and care about customer retention,positive resolution. ASAP has a standard process, reps must obey the processes outlined by the company. ASAP does not make the rules. ASAP get the brunt of it all when their hands are tied and not able to over turn a process, rule, guidelines. ASAP repeatedly deals with internet, ccc, mail, agent escalated complaints and concerns, they work hard to provide the desired or requested outcome to the customer, agents. The outcome may not be what the customer or agent WANTs or THINKs should be done, however, the outcome is based on company mandated guidelines. Concerns & complaints are escalated in error, escalated when another department has already advised of correct process or given the answer, escalated issues don't want to be addressed, escalated with the slightest irritant of a customer being upset...it all gets dumped on ASAP. ASAP works the concern accordingly. They don't get the luxury of passing it on to another area. SO DONT NOT STATE THAT ASAP IS DOES NOT CARE. THAT THE DEPARTMENT IS WORTHLESS. That ASAP is Sad scripts, quick rejections, and limited effort in explaining. Trust in this fact. Reps in ASAP are thorough in the investigation process and doing their job. Its easy to point the finger, place blame on, cast judgement upon another area you clearly have never worked in. For you haters of ASAP check yourself! Your negativity and opinion is unwarranted, unfounded, unsolicited and frankly you can stick it up your rectum.

Agreed. ASAP is an area that over the last few years became almost the same type of joke as ATSC. Sad scripts, quick rejections, and limited effort in explaining. Not sure if it was process changes, the ASAP employees simply not giving a sh**, or a combination of both. They pretty much have become worthless and a pain to deal with.

They have eliminated the reinstatement policy, too many claims and customer service complaints, customers are leaving in droves. No one wants to wait 3-5 days for a reply from ASAP dept. ASAP team was always a useless dept that made zero effort.

Good luck everyone. Tomorrow is the day. Personally I’m thinking they will keep 30-40 employees keeping in mind the workload we’ve had.

I keep hearing it may be harsh but that is not based on any concrete knowledge. Time will tell and good luck to all my ASAP teammates!
