Thread regarding Nationwide (Insurance and Financial Services) layoffs

How many days of notice period after resignation?

I started looking for jobs outside and will be resigning soon. How many days of notice period I should give to Nationwide? I work as Specialist in IT.
Would 2 weeks of notice be enough?

Thanks

I am also searching job outside NW with higher salary. If I join non-competitor firm and give notice of 2 weeks can they still terminate employment on same day of notice? Does any one of of such case? Thank you

2 weeks is customary. I left there a bit over a year ago and gave 2 weeks in my resignation letter. A few things to note:
1) Your benefits will end effective on your end date. Keep that in mind when evaluating your new employers “start date” for when their benefits take effect. Some are immediate, and some (like Nationwide) aren’t.
2) Consider your accrued PTO, it’s value, and how to best maximize it to you with your departure.
3) Consider that if you’re going to a place deemed a competitor, they may walk you out on the day you give notice...effectively paying you not to be there for your 2 weeks.

Best wishes!
