Tech outages focus

Oh gee now all the TK direct notes about focus on stability. You think? Can we finally just focus on core tech vs all the garbage distractions with DEI (sorry, TB), RTO, and making India feel included as they take our jobs?

If you want stability, quality, secure and risk minimization than the leaders need to be consistent with that agenda and stop bogging us down with all the other things. Let’s get back to the basics. Stop the noise.

Q- why is the organization so top heavy now? We have so few to actually do the work, fewer than required to actually stabilize the environment, and we continue to add layers in the management stack. The volume of change in EVERY aspect of the tech LOB makes change the only constant. Yes, technology changes at a rapid pace but processes, tools, org shuffles, and constant barrage of "updates" take away from stability. At some point we need to level out.

Guys, stop attacking Tracy. I recently came from Truist, now closely work with her and we spend a lot of time together. She is actually a very sweet, very cute, very smart, very nice girl. I personally love her very much. Let's help her become a successful rich executive.

On the matter of placing someone in a position for which that person is not qualified, if it is a DEI hire, then DEI hurts itself. But as long as the person is qualified, and can then actually perform up to the needed standards, I have no issues with that hire. Additionally, I can't opine on TK as I am not in that function at Wells. I wish her luck and those she affects luck. Peace to my brothers and sisters on the stagecoach.

WF tech today is the result of decades of abandonment towards profressional growth and accountability. Executive, manager, engineer, analyst, etc -- all are treated as guests rather than key participants in the company.

HR is either incompetent or not enabled to be professionals in their area of expertise: manage and cultivate a healthy workplace.

If HR had structured approach (maybe perf reviews that guide an employee to the next step in their career) and engaged w/ individuals using clear communication and vision, the company would see a drastic improvement and save a ton of money along the way.

Instead we continue to be guests at WF: unsure of what to bring, who to say hello to and thus anxiously checking our watches hoping it is the right time to go.

If you think this is what is needed, you’re surely living in another world.

TK is a walking distraction and anxious person. Not a good leader. Does not command an audience. Does not set a tone. Does not set a vision or strategy.

Positive? lol. Just give us leadership and know your stuff. That’s what the head of a huge tech operation should do. We don’t need tik tok dance videos. We need a clear vision, strategy and leadership. Clearly centered around the 101s to prevent more outrages.

Stop with the comments that put down women. Its unnecessary and shows how weak you are. TK has already proved herself and thats why she is in that role and you arent. She stated she used to be a developer and her credentials are alot better in tech than most of you outdated trolls. She has her approach which is different than you dungeon orcs are used to. To bring a little life, zest, appeal, and positive energy to the dark arts of tech is exactly what we need. She may not be perfect just like the rest of us but she sure is better than having a AI robot decide that we all are worthless cause those outages are all your faults, not hers. She has fix all the d-mbness.

of course the focus is on stability! look at how many articles there are on how people are missing money, missing accounts, cannot access their account, and more. they see "debit card pending correction". great customer experience!

I have a feeling... another Tech outage will happen within the next few weeks, and it will be in the headlines again. It will happen because TK is following her Tech Outage Life Cycle (TOLC), which is a subset of Wells Fargo Scandal Life Cycle (WFSLC).

TK only cares about how she looks to others. She does not have a strategic thought in her head. She just takes orders. She is a terrible leader. Listening to her in meetings , she has no idea how to guide people. Some of the things we have to do now are things Marc Gordon did at BofA and they were useless and just a daily bashing of folks or asking why without any understanding. She is taking pages from really bad and autocratic leaders.
WF Technology deserves someone better with better credentials. K Meyers thinks he is the savior and will try to oust her but he is just as bad as a leader who is full of himself.

TK definitely in over her head. Daily, admitting to learning and being inspired. Sorry, we just need you as head of tech and a $10B operation to not have on the job training and know your stuff. If you don’t, at least be a good leader and not a distracting nervous Nelly. Epic failure. Shart has a massive network of tech people given his board seat at MSFT, and prior leader of visa. But picks TK who doesn’t know the basics nor the emerging stuff? Weird
