Everyone knows that there will be reduction, but no one knows the timeline except executive.
We do not have control on date. Instead of worrying about date, we should focus on future. What is your future plan in case of worst case scenario and best case scenario?

@2bbs yes, your account is plausible versus the earlier joker (@1epi) who wants everyone to think the hiring bubble in faangs is continuing for his 'special' talent. There are jobs out there, but hard to find. And recruiters tending to low ball on offers as they are not stupid. Tech talent supply/demand is heavily in their favor. But it's just where the cycle is right now.

Got an offer and will sign this week. Job market is bad but doable. 3 months. 200 applications. 2 phone screens. 1 technical interview round. 1 job offer at much higher pay and more interesting work.
Rest and vest with one eye open.
