Good for most , but not for all. Managers and directors not physically located in states where there is no known Anthem office, hub are ok not to go in an office obviously. But , in order to make a 'presence ' they will be flown in at the best time.. Yet OPW or WFH associates who have been registered as such for over 15 years are being made to come because we are less than 50 miles. Seems like double standard for ego"s of above said parties.. Lead by example, people..

I went into an office last week, first time in 13 years. Absolute waste of my time and gas. 1.5 hours on the round round trip, to spend 35 mins in the office and had to leave because I couldn't connect to the network.... and no one around to ask help. No "magical" interactions, just a bunch of contact employees who wouldn't talk to me when I asked about connecting to the network. I could see going into an office for a meeting, or some purpose.... but just because they can make you isn't a good enough reason. What Boomer in leadership had this in their goals?
What’s the new model? During my time it was 1 day in the office after being told on horrors a full remote role. What’s it’s now?
@1rgc+1nSXR5ea Maybe in your case out with the old in with the new, perhaps it could have been for outsourcing or the fifty mile thing whatever the reason, in my recent experience I've seen newly hired managers and directors ( coming from Humana ) that are not within the 50 mile criteria or even in a state we do business in.
It's all a cost cutting move by Anthem, just like the way they are "transitioning" Claims IT to IBM. Most of them won't be at IBM very long either. It's a salary and benefits dump. Any excuse they can find...
15+ managers let go in my career would say otherwise
@1vxt+1nSXR5ea one slight correction. The managers and directors that are 50 miles or more will be ok. The ASSOCIATES will not and will be let go. So yes double standards
Not good …
Management and Associates who live within 50 miles will come to the office.
Management and Associates who live outside of the 50 miles will not.
Where’s the double standard? If you are outside of the 50 then the risk of being downsized goes up, Stresses on both sides.
