We all know MW loves and dreams about a good layoff. He's got to be starting to get antsy for another one. Any rumors or talks of more layoffs or cost cutting or is the attrition good enough in that area?

Oh My. What a bunch of pathetic, self-loathing individuals here.
Better you than me is what I say!
@1vuk Can we all just agree that JL and all of RM’s sycophants are worthless and unlikeable employees? Because of them, the only people in the HR function who will be left are clueless PSG 25 and above and lazy and unmarketable 24 and below.
And did we really have to relocate some of the biggest Bs in the function to Houston? I don’t go for coffee anymore for fear of running into the botox brigade.
“Wish for layoffs and they will come”
Line from the movie “Dreams of Layoffs” starring MW…
MW only has one lever, and pulling it excites him more than appearing on CNBC.....pull the layoff lever....if you listen you can hear him chanting his mantra....lay them off...more ..lay more off
I heard JL say the same thing about HR a few weeks ago. He was very smug about it as if he was untouchable.
Does executive management know how to pull any lever other than layoffs at Chevron? They could be team players and take a salary cut as they are way over paid instead of constantly sacrificing average joes.
No layoffs in IT yet. But they are struggling to fill jobs in the PDC and I doubt they will hire externally to fill the gaps because of a challenging business plan. This means shuffling people who are left to do the same amount or more work.
@bpd, yet here you are, whining on a layoffs forum, and not working at one of the companies that you imagine are so "great" in your opinion. Why is that?
I can tell you if they announce another "transformation" then ill be heading out the door fast. Not going to deal with that again and the mess left afterwards. Hopefully an intervention can be done with upper management to stop this awful cycle here.
You never hear about great companies (Apple, Amazon, Google, Samsung, etc) getting ahead through layoffs. Layoffs are for dying industries and companies which failed to run their business well. Names like Chrysler, GM, AT&T, Sears, JC Penny, etc.
RMs advisor let it slip that HR was going through another 10% next year.
I would hope the heavy drop in morale and all the chaos after the last big one would deter MW from having another one any time soon. We know his #1 priorities are dividends and buybacks though.
The good people have left
Yeah right. We are nearing the end of spring PDC and they’re struggling to fill positions.
