Such ridiculous and truly uninformed commentary here. It’s truly a window into the cluelessness the employees of this company have with respect to the Deep Basin Assets. The Cenovus Deep Basin assets include significant Montney and Spirit River Group assets! These are some of the top performing plays in not only the WCSB, but in North America. The issue has been the lack of focus by CVE on properly funding the development of these assets. The CEO recently addressed this and I believe the newish VP of the Deep Basin will turn it around. The focus must be on subsurface expertise, which we have in place. Listen to the Geoogists and Engineers who have extensive experience and proven success with these assets. Stop listening to the Managers and Business Office people who pretend to know the assets! It starts with geology and ends with geology! Few have the knowledge and even fewer have the proven success exploiting and developing these assets. Try listening to them, rather than the loud blowhards who walk around pretending they have the answers.

The offers they’ve had are for piecemeal one-off deals, not the whole asset.
They’re also shopping their Asia-Pacific assets around.
