Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Claims gets screwed again

So Complex Property was just told they will have up to 3 months of mandatory overtime because our executives were incapable of foreseeing that our customers would start driving their cars again or the impact adding nearly 2 million new policies would have on claims. I sure hope this is the main reason Yi got his walking papers. Now all of his yes men and women need to get the ax as well. #FRY

My section in injury is returning to the office in a few weeks. Very concerned will be lose more staffing. All we do is absorb the inventory for people leaving, we need some type of planning for this .

Progressive is actively hiring tenured SF people.
They have a better environment.
Let SF fail.

@4fjb+1d0grePH You’d think customers AND employees deserve better than this. I refuse to care more than the people at the top anymore.

Currently 100 of our customers on hold…and that’s just for 1 demand pool, fun times. Pulling all my policies, this is NOT the service I should be paying for. So grateful I finally gave my notice…a tenured employee, just what they want.

@2olo+1d0grePH, i am a RA2 in injury , we are all hourly and get OT for sure. The exempt positions for RA2s are the analysts.

Do RA 2 and above get compensated for mandatory OT or not since they're exempt employees?

Get it? You are referred to a kids, minions, and claim sc-m behind closed doors. They could care less about you.

@1uyp+1d0grePH I agree with you, I work here only for benefits. I’m not very strapped for equity, or cash.

I’ve had like 3 people on my team that are actually proud of that “advancement” and walking right into a no personal life career for sub 40k. They still send group emails.

Like no personal life, matched with living in a low income area. Baller moves. I thank god everyday for where I’m at, and being able to laugh at this sh-t show.

To the OP, State Farm executives know exactly what they are doing and it has been posted on here many times. I appreciate and agree with your opinion we are getting screwed. I have been in leadership for almost two decades and please understand MT, PS, and CS are complete spineless and soulless id--ts. They thrive on your misery and profit from it! They do not care about you or any employee at SF. You are a disposable asset and they are glad when someone with any tenures leaves as it ticks the expense ratio down a notch. They love the horrible work environment and it is what they designed it to be. They are working overtime every single day to eliminate your job and show you the door as soon as possible. I have spoken up in meetings before about the issues at SF, as many leaders have (CM,SM,TM). It is usually followed with a meeting invite from your boss that basically tells you to get with the program, shut-up or don't let the door hit you in the arsszzz on the way out! I will tell you what is not discussed out loud at SF. Who cares if someone has a horrible claim experience and leaves the company. Most insured's never files a claim and about 20% of the book cause over 90% of the losses....fu-k-em if they leave and don't like the service. MT and PS are bean counters and a lawyer. They are running it by the numbers and could give a frack less about you or customer/claimants with claims. Remarkable customer service is something they say to sound good, not something they are really trying to achieve, As long as we are not getting sued...sc--w it! Less staff, more outsourcing and eventually everything probably will be handled by someone in a different country for $5 an hour. Allstate is sending it stuff to India! Our new Exec from AT&T sent their call centers to Mexico! Do the math!

This is purposely done to reduce staff before the next big transition to a one claim organization. It will also drive policyholder away at the same rate we gained them. The titanic is flooding rapidly. Glad all the executives got out! Rats leaving a sinking ship!

Claims is crazy at all companies. I just came from a competitor. Claims suck equally at every company. Same issues…. Either quit go a different industry or learn to live with it. Claims is stressful. I am focused on being grateful I have a job.

Sounds like leads and managers and directors need to take some work amd claims to do amd get monitored on it. Instead of playing big shot leaders and “business people” and HR fools

Yup last 2-3months I was getting hounded for “promoting to CS complex.” Seemed a little fishy with my skill set. Now I see why. Definitely not worth the extra 50 cents or whatever that promotion was.

Injury is the same place on staffing , we have replaced 0 people since starting WFH. Everyday is like working a Monday, new claims from start of the day to the end. Claims had no plan for for the influx of new policies we have. 4 people have been pouched by other insurance companies in the past few months, we are in a bad place.
