In a handful of U.S. states, employers must reimburse employees for all expenditures incurred in performing their duties at home. In California, that can include home internet bills. California law requires employers to reimburse employees “for all necessary expenditures or losses incurred by the employee in direct consequence of the discharge of his or her duties.” Cal. Lab. Code § 2802(a). https://california.public.law/codes/ca_lab_code_section_2802

Long service is about 2 years. After that you are a DXC bot with no will or brain to leave the sinking ship.

Long service awards at 5 and 10 years definitely and then at some point it goes to every 10 years.
So could be 5, 10, 20, 30, 40. Not sure if there is 25 anymore. You can look it all up in the HR website, if you're that bothered about a virtual badge on a powerpoint of a team meeting

How many years do you have to work for a long service award?

Internet bill reimbursement is a part of the compensation package in some countries such as India. Elsewhere, especially in higher cost locations such as Europe and USA, that was rarely the case.
However, given that "virtual first" is now the default, the company should reimburse internet cost for everyone who works from home, as employees cannot be expected to pick up the tab for doing company work from home .

If your long service anniversary fell during the period all reward and recognition was suspended. You missed it. They have been conveniently forgotten. Not even a stock email with a print at home certificate attached. The company processes and systems are totally broken. One day they'll stop paying us and say they can't fix it. But carry on working anyway will you!

Search internally for "remote worker home Internet & phone reimbursement claim rates"

And yes some US states are on that list...

Most European countries get fifty euros a month. But look at the list.

Oh come off it @1utj+1s33kIrY The long service awards are fixed by the company, you hit one of their milestones you get a badge, it's got nothing to do with the individual being a yes man or not, you literally just have to turn up.

Bonuses are another matter but put in the effort, make it clear you have had enough of DXC's nonsense and they happened even in old DXC, under the Mikes. Of course new DXC will shower us all with money in May, that's what they implied in yesterday's town hall. Or maybe that was just wishful thinking.

Some people get things like bonuses and long service awards too. It seems to be subject to how much of a yes man you are. The same people spend all there days telling everyone how busy they are, achieving very little, and generally being incompetent. But that's what DXC rewards.

Yes, most have internet at home. But why should we be absorbing business costs when we are already not getting cola, increments etc. Sure, it's no problem for those at the top with millions at hand. For those wfh, we should be rememburished ~25% of monthly internet bill as this is a business cost. I didn't choose to wfh. However, cheap dxc say claim from taxman which of course saves dxc money. Don't know where all this dxc "saved" money ends up...at the top??
