What does the typical DXC reference look like? I left on some horrible terms and doubt I'd be eligible for rehire though they told HMRC and UK National Security Vetting I still worked for them 4 months after I left.

A reference just asks to confirm that you worked there
There was another thread very recently asking the same question, weren't the answers there good enough for you or did you not believe them?
It's not a real reference as you might think of it, it's just confirmation that you worked for DXC between X & Y dates.
@1urr+1lIqdtUB I don't want to go back but slightly wary DXC may salt the Earth for me should I need a reference in the near future

Something on the lines of.... Finished code Of conduct and ethics courses regularly. Filled timesheets in multiple timesheet systems without reminder. Attended all the meetings but did not contribute anything to the project.
