Out of Qatar now?

Ooof. Out of American. At Risk at Delta. And going out of Qatar.

What next for Viasat commercial aviation?

Maybe we can uncap all our plans just like our biz av colleagues just did? Go fast & free and kick Starlink @ss.

What you say Marky, Guru and exec crew?

Hince why I don’t believe these trolls,
No severance package? Viasat is d-mb, but ain’t that d-mb.

I’ve seen plenty of former Viasat folks get terminate for some stupid PnC bs
And they even got severance package….

Yup much of liars

Per U.S. Department of Labor , companies are not obligated to provide severance pay to all employees.

@2pgz - this hurts

PandC called my yesterday telling me I am layed off. Off the viasat systems and looking for a lawyer to deal with the severance package.
Get out of denial. Your colleagues are losing their jobs this week. Hundreds of them the way it feels in europe and asia. Feel lucky youre american.

So I just got the call from PandC telling me I get layed off. I dod not do the VRP, this is 100% involuntary.
The PandC person told me they are busy all today and all tomorrow with layoffs.

Hince why ViaSat is always be around,
Military will keep them alive until there are no more conflicts (which will never happen)

This post asks what next for commercial aviation. Not the marine core and the air force. Guess u missed that.

Viasat is strong in military but weak in everything else now.

In the past month alone there’s been announcements about the marine core and the air force. Guess u missed that.

Of course it matters. I’m just saying we have known about this for a year now so if the layoffs are coming they have truly been a long time coming.

Well, yeah @evu+1v7B8M9v

Are you suggesting this doesn’t matter? Qatar was inmarsat’s best (only) profitable airline and those profits are walking away. I don’t see anything on the Inmarsat or Viasat side arriving to replace those profits. So investors will want layoffs.

We got L-band baby for Indian text messaging and SOS messaging. All about the letters baby. Who needs visuals and sound? Whip out a 2004 Nokia and celebrate Rajeev Suri Style.

We've known this since October 2023 when the announced they were moving away from Inmarsat to Starlink. Today is just the first flight and PR stunt around Qatar and Starlink.
