Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Ashamed of the things I did for paycheck?

Getting thrown the RIF was the best. I would never have willingly left, but absolutely ashamed at the things I did for my salary. Find a company that aligns with your moral beliefs, or at least a job that you can switch companies easily and still make the same pay (trade craft).

This is also my case. Sometimes I’m exactly ashamed of how much I allow myself to be humiliated here just so I can pay the bills. I don’t think I’m the only one?

Re: ethics @1udm+19OC0cyh that verification Allstate brags about as an “ethical company” is a scam company that you pay for the title.

Allstate can’t earn a genuine ethics award so they revert to purchasing one like some lame a– “who’s who” book you to pay to be included in.

You can’t make this stuff up serious rofl

You are not alone. Shame just means your not a sociopath like the executive team. The RIF was handled by an outside vendor and based on your score on a “personality test”and two years reviews. That is what we were all told. So the multiple people who were let go, then asked to return if they would take a pay cut and return their severance suddenly their test scores and reviews didn’t matter? Why won’t they share the results with each employee? The misrepresentation and outright lying done during the RIF speaks volumes about the ethics of our leadership. They don’t feel shame, they are busy counting their bonuses from last year still. Really after this mess why would you trust anything the exec board says ?
