Are layoffs coming in March?

Last week of March is here. I haven’t heard anything yet about a layoff of any kind. Layoffs are always happening but when is the big one really coming?

again, nothing new, Athina simple does not have solid strategy nor roadmap for her Strategy and Transformation, so it is a constant rollercoaster of layoffs, redundancies, and shifting roles to cheap India or Egypt
smart people should take last Friday of March off in Europe :)
@1tz Any idea of what level of roles were impacted or was it across the board?
Heard of several let go in IT in Plano last week. Seems they might be doing it on a slower schedule instead of all at once-maybe hoping we won’t notice. But all VP areas impacted yet, so assuming all VP’s had to cut headcount costs by a certain %, then expect more.
It just happened this past week. LG1+s laid off in R&D Teams in Foods, Beverages, Life Sciences, and External Innovation. SVPs of the Teams in the former TDC are still figuring out what to do with the TDC teams they inherited, and we anticipate layoffs in these teams in the next couple of weeks.
Ramon won’t protect any more head-counts in Barcelona hub… too much pressure to cut cost!
Next week probably in Europe
Plans are to reduce headcount in several S&T hubs in US and Europe

Several teams will be affected across S&T. Goal : less Peacock-type money wasting on vanity initiatives and justifying high cost-bearing roles.

Has anyone recieved info that layoffs will happen this week? Or only end of March?
I’ll take a severance package at this point.
Early in my career, when high-ranking people got laid off, I assumed they were finished. Then I learned they often received a hefty payout to leave and landed another job quickly. I had no idea that, in some cases, a severance package could be almost like winning the lottery.
If it comes with a decent severance package and is a one way ticket out of this misery - can only hope so.

We may not need layoffs as the mass exodus continues! I know of at least a dozen employees have left in the last 30 days! If this happens all over the country the numbers become staggering! People are fed up with bad reviews, raises and this toxic culture!

Cuts along the way and then a big cut at year end when clear the FL and Bev combined pilot not cutting enough cost
Also many of the retailers food service and convenience big guys cutting their sponsorship and advertising programs and just want to sell cheapest option on the shelf and private label. Good luck!
