I post here because I am sad and frustrated about how things turned out. I really enjoyed most of my time at riverbed. That’s why I’m sad to read about the current state. I’m frustrated because: I told you so. This crisis started 6+ years ago.
I also read the posts hear to learn about what could have been done differently. IT companies must continually change to stay in the game. This is especially true for companies that are the leader in one specific product. That product will eventually lose relevance and if the company doesn’t have another growth area, that’s the end. I have specific ideas how to do that based on my experience at riverbed and elsewhere. Unfortunately, it’s too late to save riverbed.
