Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

My role transferring into DXC

My role is moving to DXC and I have been offered the post.
Should I simply hammer nails into my te------s and walk away or should I accept?

By the sounds of this board, I think I should.
Is there anything positive?

@2ygx+1bNUx5Vr: Your salary stays the same, but health and other benefits keep going up, so your net pay goes effectively backwards.

Let's not forget that DXC pays salaries two weeks in arrears, so you don't see a cent of income for the first month.

Of course accept so you continue to collect a salary and Health benefits, but start looking hard for a new position with another company. The Salary you get at your hire date will be the same for the rest of your life at DXC

Of course there are positives. You can be positively assured that your career and pay will, if not just stagnate, actually go backwards. You can be positively assured that your life will go to he-l with the added stress. You can be positively assured that virtually everything you have read on these boards is true, and the latest round of "DXC is so great" posts on Glassdoor are lies.

In short, lots to be positive about!

If your transferring in as an ex Accenture executive you will be paid handsomely with shares on top.

If your a normal worker then you'll get pretty much nothing for years to come.

And hopefully your good at procedures and form filling as new ones are invented regularly.

The motto can be summarised

"It's a company for the few (at the top) and managers, not the many who do the actual work "

@1thd+1bNUx5Vr I am really glad for you. You are an extreme outlier - 0.00001% of the DXC!!!

Depends on the location. In the US I haven’t experienced many of the issues noted here. Our team came over about 2 yrs ago and if you are ranked high, they do offer raises, and did receive a 1 time bonus this year. Raise information will be released shortly for this yr as well. Our department however is not really focused on IT.

Depending on your working location and department, it's going to be he-l or a cakewalk.

Positive: very flexible working hours. You could disappear for hours and no one would know you were gone. Also, working from home is highly encouraged. Much more than any other employer I've worked for. Your work / life balance is going to improve as yearly goals set by you or the company are not taken seriously. Therefore, the work pressure is non-existent.

Negatives, well... just browse this board.
