It just doesn't stop. Now managers will start getting reports on the times you badge in and out and you will be penalized if you are not in the office 8 hours a day. Don't try to skip out early and beat the traffic. I wonder if our remote counterparts are being micromanaged like this? NOPE.

@1tgu+1mHiNrRE 90% gone in 3 months? I don’t think you realize how many people are fully remote. There are departments where half the people are remote (look at ECIO or ERC or the BRC functions in Bank). You think they’re just going to get rid of half the department at once? They wouldn’t be able to function. And those specialized skillsets are not able to be easily or quickly replaced by people in the hub cities. Getting rid of all remote people would be more like a 3+ year strategy than a 90 day strategy.
Disclaimer: I am not a high enough level at USAA to have inside knowledge of their plans, but this seems common sense to me that they wouldn’t lay off 5k+ remote people at the same time.
No remote employees aren’t getting micromanaged like this. But it’s because 90% of them won’t be here in 3 months.
Go ahead. Down vote. But it’s plain facts.
Due to privacy laws, it will not show hours. Only swipes.
On site management will monitor and coach to your “availability” due to “feedback” and have concerns about it turning into a “performance issues” or becoming “career limiting”
Managers are getting reports now? I thought the start date for 3 days RTO was after Labor Day.
I’ve personally have never seen the badge report. But if it shows the mileage group, then they f’n know I’m making a 94 mile round trip 3 days a week.
I have seen the report. It was last run and sent out from April 10 to May 7th. It shows the this in order. Your employee ID/Name/Manager/Job Class/ Work Type/ Mileage Group ( +/- 60 miles) /Adherence/Days Onsite
Does not reflect the hours in. But I can say from a Manager standpoint, you are red flagged if you come in say 8am and then swipe out at 815.
This is true.
In my area of bank, they’re being told to check our badge reports and see who is meeting the 3 day in office, and our ED also stated the expectations come September is 8 hours in office, no leaving at half your shift to finish at home, per Wayne, as he wants everyone in office.
Yeah i was about to say. Im salaried and an adult. If im done with my work day, im done and going home. They are lucky im going in to the offfice three days a week…
Do you know this company never posted a loss in the history of the company even during the great depression, so how in the world do they justify a loss so big this year which obviously has resulted in layoffs. I think when they start laying off they need to start looking at the CEO and all executive management first not the people who actually do the work.
Does it now? I may need to do a bit of research on that then! I'm "exempt" but have all kinds of rules around that stuff in my role!
Reports will only be readily available to Executive Directors or higher. It’s my understanding that the reports will only be reviewed for the number of days on campus and not specific times, nor the hours spent on the property.
The company needs to treat reeeallly carefully in how they handle this, as mandating times, hours, locations, etc. too strictly affects the definitions of “Exempt” vs. “Non-Exempt.”
Correct. Someone at another firm stated due to privacy laws in certain states they can only show number of swipes in/out per day, not the times
I think this depends on your management. I saw the report today and it only had number of days, not hours.
