Inside person here, and I speak and connect with a few folks off company channels, and most of us have absolutely no faith in Cengage “Leadership” and job security. Fall Rush was absurd. How much business will be lost? Anyone else have thoughts?

@32m all of this. 100% accurate
Cengage has become an absolute joke. No culture, no unity, squeeze everything we can out of people for less pay. Collapse territories and spread those accounts giving people more work and no more pay. Leaving open spots open for months at a time so others can take on the work load and cengage doesn't have to pay another person.
Used to respect NK for his easygoing nature, but he seems desperate these days.
@203 indeed, most profs in my territory make fun of field reps, have codes that they send to one another yo warn of a sc-m bag field reps.
They only like field reps at the start of the semester to assist with student access and their integrations etc.
I did market research for Cengage. Even as COVID was dwindling down, professors were still telling us they didn't like field reps. They didn't want people knocking on their office doors to sell them on sh*t.
@1t0 All aside from you I am sure!
Newsflash - Leadership has no faith in Inside.
Guess who will win?
So what? It's not like Inside is doing a fantastic job.
Arghhh. Another week in this hellhole.
Use vacation, then quit, walk away, if you don’t care about being rehired.
I no longer work at Cengage, what happened this fall?
Love how managers are blaming sales people for their failure.
@b1 I don’t think that his departure is going to be the big unlock that everyone seems to think it is. He’ll either be replaced with someone similar internally or they’ll bring in some big shot external person that has no clue about how we work and will leave in a year for a position at a much better company.
This ship is sinking fast. Fall was disastrous and selling after that debacle is a joke.
Is ER really out? That may help if that’s true
