Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Transformative Growth from Local Office Perspective

Allstate has taken away all independent owner phone systems. The phone rings 75% less and they know this. You will ocasionally get a policy that they say was a call forward after you closed. Our longtime customers are not able to speak with the agent as they had for 30 years without speaking into promts when calling. Corporate employess who work in support roles are being rehired into vendors so if they are let go it will not show in employee numbers for layoffs. When you need billing assistance due to a billing error, chat will tell you it will be fixed and then nothing happens. The pandemic has allowed corporations to say we support remote work while you never really know if the job has been moved to india Allstate. There were specific claim handlers assigned to claims in the past. There is no one person now and the only contact is chat or the team. Programs have been removed from the LSP service systems without explanation. Policies that were assigned to independent agencies in the past from CCC that are terminated or cancelled have had the agent name removed from part of the history and Allstate has changed the origin or renamed it. The quoting and payment system has changed from Alliance to Advisor Pro. In the past you could open a policy and process a payment in less than 1 minute. It now takes 20-25 seconds for the payment program page to open. The quote systems is exteremly slow compared to the new direct online sales platform. An online customer can get a quote in 3 minutes and all the information auto populates where Advisor Pro does not generate the information as quickly or as easily.I am still able to make sure customers are insured the best I can offer under the circumstances that I have been put in and will continue to do the best I can with the tools I have been givin in this recent time.

@1suf+1lqWiaQh What Allstate is doing is definitely making it tough for agents. I would say that CA, FL, and NY were always issues for years due to the insurance specific laws they have, among other issues. CBS did a story about this exact issue just recently. https://www.cbsnews.com/losangeles/news/auto-insurance-companies-pull-out-of-california/

All by design OP agents are being set up to fail. Despite what you are told examine the actions of this unethical company.

Allstate is done period. They practically shut down production in California , Florida and New York. They constantly point the finger at sales for not meeting bogus quotas and the ones that do are the cheaters that allstate praises for writing 300 cars a month. Compliance is the biggest joke at allstate they are the ones that encourage unethical behavior.

Our Field Leader pretty much told us this. Metrics of sales by 2024 are going to be pretty much impossible to meet except for upper 10% of higher volume agents and even they are not safe. We are being set up to fail period. As an LSP I see how this affects our agency owner. They are almost at a hopeless "waive the white flag" status as are other Allstate EA's I know.

Another class action lawsuit on the horizon, time to make the corporate thieves empty their wallets.

Corporate wants agencies gone. Just like U.S. based employees that are trying to demoralize agents into wanting to sell their books back to corporate or to set you up to fail so they can "terminate" you and have a reason to just take your book. The EA contract is set up in such a way that there are many ways for corporate to take your book and leave you nothing in compensation in return. They have done this many times already to former agents. The internal goal is for EA's to be almost non-exisitent by end of 2025 and this is a part of their Transformative Growth. Agents seriously need to look at selling ASAP and reap some sort of value for their books as corporate will be taking it regardless one way or another.
