Can someone please break it down for me the main differences between the 1st wave and the 2nd wave? It sounds like the 2nd wave has a longer transition period until April 1st while the 1st wave only had 30 days? Just trying to be mentally prepared for what the 3rd wave would look like. Thank you all for your inputs. This forum has been more helpful and informational than any leader(s) could be.

From the emails and town halls, they are outsourcing some departments in two waves. We are near the end of wave two. We all received the email that future waves are not planned at this time. But with AI, tension internationally, cheaper international call centers, demand for product changes, who knows what the future looks like. And to the comment: umm yes, if they let people go they are probably age 40+. The people that continue work here are also over age 40 on average. Not sure why you made a comment on age, oh because you don’t work here.
@gz don’t know what you’re talking about regarding 1st wave! Several high performers were simply aged out (over 40) with excellent even spotless performance reviews! They even held critical positions that no one replaced and work simply isn’t getting done! Commercial & IT LT feckless clowns with no concept of work being done! They left the laggers and many still around…especially nepo babies & family members!
1st wave - aged out several top performers over 40 while covering their a$$es from legal liability! It wasn't just "redundant" positions, many roles deemed "surplus" were immediately replaced by others while they boasted on Linkedin!!
2nd wave - training replacements from India, dealing with language barriers and lack of understanding many roles will result in major $hit show as soon as transition is completed. Great job ELT...especially commercial LT who has NO clue what it takes to do what we do in supply chain and several commercial roles! The VP came to commercial "just in time" to sc--w it all up! She rarely showed her face or got to know anyone and is digging a HUGE hole they will never come out of while destroying people's lives. #caringbychoicemya$$ #outsourcingsucks
1st wave...all overpaid id--ts.
1st wave: all redundant positions and underperforming folks in Commercial and Finance plus all outsourced positions in IT. Severance packages generous, help finding other jobs and other benefits. This was meant to keep the valuable and experienced employees from leaving (why not wait if you could be laid off and retire with extra money).
Second wave cut the roles that would be further outsourced: customer service, logistics, etc and returned costly expats (albeit just the ones they didn’t like) home and cut the expense. I am guessing severance was lower and now those needed to train the outsourcing firm need to stay months to obtain a severance package. Third wave? They probably will cut manufacturing, engineering, MRO, maintenance, remote offices, middle management and more expensive employees that can be ushered out through retirement. By then GTPC would be up and running! Let the hunger games begin.
3rd wave will come next year.
